That you couldnt see room on the old towers was not the issue.
I appreciate teh variety that the tower now have, but the old issue remains. They take too long and are not rewarding.
In the Interview you said it wasnt a good idea that you approach a room where you couldnt see the enemies. Yes that was a small issue, but that is not the main issue. Tower are boring and not reward. " Buy a T1 waystone from Doryani and run towers using them. Rush through it and your focus is to find the beacon, which shouldn't take more than a couple minutes in a T1 map. Activate it and leave the tower. There's no actual point in clearing them. Running the tower itself is a waste of time and their only use is one of the many "systems"/"mechanics" that add nothing of value to the game and only make it take artificially longer to progress in. Therefore: " This is 100% true. IMO they should simply make towers instantly "cleared" as soon as you clear a node connected to it. Running the tower and activating the beacon is a chore. Problem is, game would be better without towers. lemme place tablets into map device like scarabs = better
same with fog, why is he there? the 1 thing we are searching for can be seen through it. remove it. leads to the question why we have this boring atlas in the first place? for "exploration"? lol |

It wouldn't have been that bad if their predecessor hadn't introduced the Scarabs.
They might try to push it down players' throats for a while longer, but there's no turning back from introducing the Scarabs into the game. On Probation Any%

Isn't part of the reward of doing them that they clear out some of the Fog of War and allow you to insert Tablets.

" I used T14's to progress through "weak" nodes which might still be somewhat rewarding. I just used T1 as an example. I was using any lower tier maps I had remaining in my stash. At some point, if you're being efficient with your loot filter, you'd run out of low tier maps and only have T14+. After that it's just easier to buy T1's from Doryani since they're unlimited. I couldn't run the towers while ignoring mobs in T14's by the time I stopped playing PoE 2. I could faceroll while watching something else on my 2nd monitor when doing it on much lower tier waystones though. | |
I agree on adding something more to the towers whether it be a boss etc.
Also what I've found probably more an RNG thing and my luck, is that I'm trying to get fog cleared to a citadel, but the route I was trying to go does not clear the fog. I'm now half way across the map from where I want to go just to try and find towers that will get around to that place. Although I'm getting a bit stuck on where I can go from here as I'm.coming to dead ends wherever I try. |
