My account was banned in POE2. How can I get unbanned?
" Thank you for your response! It’s really unfortunate that the GGG team member who was replying earlier didn’t respond to the message. Perhaps they could have provided a more precise timeframe. Still, thank you for your reply. |

I’d also like to respond to everyone accusing me of engaging in RMT. Guys, I honestly don’t understand you. If I were actually involved in RMT, why would I bother writing posts on forums and sending emails asking to be unbanned?
I would do what any other trader would do—just create a new account and move on. Spending $13 or $30 wouldn’t be an issue. Especially since, even though I played 115 hours in 2.5 weeks, I’m confident that any moderately experienced POE player could level up to the same point in just 20-30 hours. But no, I’m a fair gamer who genuinely enjoyed the game and simply wants to keep playing. And of course, I won’t be using the chat anymore. |

It’s now the third day, and there’s still no response from technical support.
Also, no GGG staff member has joined the specific discussion topic even once. What supports the idea that GGG is overloaded and lacking staff is the fact that they are currently hiring for a technical support role on their official website. However, I’d like to point out that this job posting has been up for 3 weeks already. It’s strange that no one has been found in all that time. In the meantime, I’m still waiting for a response from support. How long I’ll have to wait – nobody can tell me that either. |

What shocks me even more is that this is my first ban in video games in over 17 years. I’ve literally been playing online video games almost since their very beginning. I’ve always communicated in chats, helped other players, asked for advice—and I’ve never been banned. Because, in general, I’m against breaking game rules.
And now, in this game that I genuinely enjoy, I’ve received a permanent ban. I’m in shock. I really hope this situation gets resolved as soon as possible. |

An interesting fact, as other users mentioned in their messages to me: to get unbanned, you need your login and identifier. It turns out that finding out your identifier on your own is impossible—or at least, I couldn’t find a way to do it. The only option here is to ask a friend who had previously added your account to their friends list to look up your identifier.
So, my advice to anyone who might face a ban is this: add someone as a friend in advance or write down your identifier. Without it, your communication with technical support will take even longer. In the meantime, I’ve sent another email to technical support with all the necessary information about my account. I hope this will lead to a response that includes all the required details. And to all the users who are accusing me, I’ve once again apologized for my joke and promised not to joke about forbidden topics in the future. |

" This probably isn't any use to you anymore but might be helpful to other people facing the same problem, you can also find your account page with a search engine and get the identifier from there. For example I could find my account searching Google with Randall site:pathofexile.com That will find my account (and another with the same account name but easy enough to work out which account is mine). I think it may not find accounts though if you've never posted on the forum |
|
" hank you for the advice! Yes, I also tried searching on Google. But either I searched poorly or couldn't find anything. From my banned account, I never posted on the forum, so maybe that's the issue. |

It’s terrible that in 2025, we still have to wait so long for a response from technical support. And of course, I can’t help but mention the bias from many users accusing me of being a malicious RMT user who deserves to be permanently banned. I’m surprised by how easily people make such categorical judgments. However, I can understand them, as people tend not to grasp the issue until they face it themselves.
I’d also like to specifically address those accusing me. How do you even imagine my alleged RMT? I bought the game on Steam, my account has around 300 games, and it’s over 12 years old. Do you really think I’d be willing to give up this account? Therefore, I urge everyone to approach reading this and other threads more thoughtfully and to respond only after thoroughly reviewing the materials. |

It’s been 7 days, and I haven’t received a response from anyone.
I’ve started reaching out to various media outlets in the US, Australia, and New Zealand regarding the situation with delayed responses to users. |
