Chaos Cronomanser HP Armor build for Hardcore

Good day. Please comment on the build.
I am currently at level 60.

I currently have 1700+ HP, 75% of resist without chaos resistance, 1900+ armor.
78.1 Health regeneration per second
Damage taken recouped as life 82%. I plan to increase it to 100%+
Am I correct in understanding that the passive The Rapid River converts 8 seconds into 4 seconds?
What problems might I have with this build?

i finally died
I was level 74 had 2159 hp 2385 armor, 75% resistance. Died on a map with mobs lvl 69. 1 minion with aura extra physical damage shot me with 1 hit, I was full hp

Damage taken recouped as life - this is all well and good if you don't get hit by anything bigger than 1700.

I am having similar issues with my melee ranger build where I relied on life and armour plus life leech. It was fine until I started mapping but sustain becomes difficult because I die to zero warning one-shots all the time (at about 2000hp)

Damage taken recouped as life / life leech will likely suffer the same issue, won't they? You can still get taken out in one big hit from a boss.

The only solution I can think of is to turn to ES instead of life, or wait for balance fixes in some future patch.

And just like me, evasion probably won't be possible to add based on where the body of your passive pathing sits.

It's likely I'm going to take a break soon as its difficult to make much off the beaten path right now in terms of build diversity in early access.

Thank you, I'm waiting for the next patch, they promised to do something with the armor.Haven't completed the campaign on difficulty 2 yet. Lost a lot of characters to oneshot bosses.
yes, rapid river gives you 4s recoup.
Rapid river, and pliable flesh gives you 3.2s recoup.

Recoup as noted frustratingly does not help against 1 shots, or any real burst. 2-6k under well, 3.2s.


Consider adapting this aura support, lockdown chronomancer I mapped out. it was intended to be a bit of an aurabot, chaos, and most importantly, apply 100% slow to all enemies in the game.

notes, have the key aspects, and math.

key aspects:
blasphemy: temp chains.
apex of the moment.

curse effect, aura effect, and slow magnitude. (increased spell/curse/aoe size as well)

you want +spells for temp chains. its going to increase its curse effect, and size.
you can get 5% curse effect, AND 10% aura effect on sapphires. prefix.
as many jewels as you can for this. the suggested skeleton tree can get 7.

anoint time manipulation, corrupt gloves for "30% slow magnitude"

slow magnitude then multiplies into the temp chains inc effect, as slow is a debuff.

Slows then multiply into each other.
so, if you have 60% temp chains, and 30% apex, you are doing 78% slow. then 50% chill? 117% slow.

This skeleton if complete, with level 20 base gems/quality will have 143% passive aoe slow. not including hinder, or chill. thats enough for 100% slow on rare monsters. it would 72.5% on uniques. hinder and chill can get them up over 100%.

skill effect duration on there was for time freeze.
scepter suggestion is just for malice/allies effects for aura botting. not required for solo.


Also note, while this is using blasphemy/temp chains. and blas/tempchains/encumbrance/heightened in a 4l..
I left the other 2 slots open. Another curse in the 5l. and inc aoe in a 6l.

up to you for enfeeble, or despair. but remember, then this second curse will ALSO be getting 214% increased effect.(in the presented end build)


Furthermore, yes raw life is not really good enough without STR stacking. so, additionally, or alternatively;

There are items that give stupid ES amounts with little investment, allowing massive hp pools. Also, these still apply ES AFTER eldritch battery/mom is applied. so you can have Life, mana, AND es all protecting your pool.
Recoup is more effective when you do have life/mana/es combined giving a 10k-60k+ ehp. can get that 3.2s recoup, life recoup, and
50% mana recoup.

Do you know what decaying hex decay actually scales with? I started a chaos degen witch after playing my chronomancer.
it doesn't get labeled a spell anywhere.
Cool, thanks, when this character dies, I'll try something with freezing =) but I'm still hoping for a patch that will weaken one-shots
