This was good one, but i didnt like one thing - 0 info about POE 1 league. I know, its POE 2 stream, i know it, okay? But when question got asked on Q&A stream - no answer.
Just say its gonna be delayed again, be honest, dont hurt us guys, come on. It was really heartbreaking when the only answer we deserved is "well, thats pretty complicated topic" |

A new LEAGUE?
What???? Finish the base game, story, characters and ascendancies and then go for a league - if ever?! What a shame... I can't believe it. There are conceptual problems with PoE 2 atm. Don't talk about a new league. Fix the support gem system and other main issues first. Add a properly developed crafting system. You're only having the car's chassis and a seat but you wanna go buy 'more fuel'. What for? I guess I will wait a year or two until the game is at least theoretically playable. |

Thanks for the wonderful interview! Excited for the new patch as well as the balance changes coming eventually. Hope to see more crafting become accessible and new ones added in the game as time goes on. Wishing all the devs the best! Keep up the amazing work!

No fix to current "crafting."
No fix for the abysmal state of melee (Jonathan said warriors are "fine" in the interview). No fix for armor. No fix for items like Breach splinters dropping singularly. No removal of one-death portals for maps. In fact, they doubled down on this terrible decision in the interview. No real atlas fix - instead adding more tower map layouts. No map stash tab. Really? No minion/pathing fix for tight corridors. No Temporalis or Archmage adjustments, or mention of the exploits that went on for literal weeks. Thousands of duped items are still in the game, even if a handful of accounts were banned. No additional MTX from PoE1 added. No fix for people's bricked atlases or addressing of dead ends/unreachable nodes. The uniques they showed are barely improved, and some of them are actually worse! Instead of removing on-death effects, made them more "visible" - looking at this video, still seems like cancer. But hey, we got Una's lute to work and we have swappable runes, so let's ignore all that other stuff. (2-3-2019) Buff underused skills (3.23?!)+ selfcast, stop nerfing defense, build in threshold jewels (3.23?!), implement D3-style looting, add death log + MTX preview, actually rework flasks, stop balancing around the .01%, unnerf Harvest, ADD NEW WAYS TO LEVEL, finally implement Loot 2.0

" The moment you add something that is good for multiplayer (like reviving or more tries) it will get abused to the point that you have to play in a party. That already happened in other ARPGs and it was miserable. So no. One portal is fine. We got 6 tries for pinnacle. They just need to balance some stuff (many oneshots off screen are being adressed). People need also to use that dodge button. Many die because they dont move and facetank everything with 0 investment in defense. That behavior should not be rewarded (the so called 6 portal defense). Going full one shot everything glas cannon and then wondering why you died to a fart, is kinda wild. Furthermore multiple tries / portals were already abused in poe1 (ignoring boss mechanics and stuff). |
