1 shot is just lazy game design

And yeah, lets just add 50 billion """noob filters""" so we end up with a dead game that has about the same player numbers as Ruthless. Seems like a great idea to quickly sink this game lol

What is with this elitism around this game? It's not a soulslike, it never will be. It's not """difficult""", its just tedious and extremely punishing. There's 0 skill involved in this game, only time commitment and copying guides while getting lucky. Those are all the things you need to "git gud" at PoE 2.

Learn to be articulate puppy, PoE2 also has voice lines, and it is more telegraphed. Point was, oneshot mechanics aren't a new concept with PoE2.

No one cares about player numbers, if you do, then stick to buttom smasher games like CS:GO, Marvel Rivals. My statement of "Noob filter" was supposed to instill, 1) You are not adapting to the required skills for the fight, existed in PoE1 since Shaper/Elder fights, 2) You are not building properly, namely enough defences, damage, mobility, or having and using mobility skills.
If you can't abide by these basic requisites, then stick to Diablo, LE, oh wait, even LE has one shot bosses.

Elitism? What's up with the irrational screeching with this game? Why are you screeching? Whenever I am in the forum I see your name along with a thoughtless negative comment, take a break.
The game is "punishing" and that is what it makes it a game, I don't know how many games you have played, but this trope of punishment is what makes a game, a game.
None of your concerns are constructive, the game almost INFINITE problems, and its warranteed, it's EA, not even finished, some core mechanics(league mechanics and maps) are completely unfinished, but I don't see you ever giving meticulous Feedback on that, all I see is you being a robot.

Careful, remember, agreeing with anything GGG has stated, said, or done in the last 12+ years will get your called a corpo shill, bootlicker, etc. Please rebel against everything, regardless of it's intrinsic value to the game or experience as a whole.

Thank you.

Why he should adeppt it ? Who is the costumer and who is the supplier ?
Do you remember Nokia : They were first class mobile phones before smartphones.
They produced 2 years beside the market. There were clothly to be bankrupt.
Now they start to be on the market again, but again with bad smartphones.

No he needs to accept mechanics. They have to do it in a inovativ form which respects 2025 and the players time. And they do not ! The life is way more stressful than 10 years ago.

And as long they wanna have something from me: Money. Than they have to be way better than that crap.

It is the known design flaw with Armour. It does not protect from "big" hits, only from the small hits.

Known design flaw? You mean the PoE1 mechanic that has existed for years? Yes, a logarithmic (exponential? one of those) curve is used to determine usefulness of armor as hits get larger.

It's always been that way.

Stop becoming stupider because of YouTube clickbait.

No one wants your money, your time, it's you who is donating to them by your will.
You didn't read my full comment, one shotting is epitomy of Path of Exile 1s endgame, this stretches from getting randomly killed by a juiced rare or getting stomped by a boss.
Path of Exile 1 has had that since a long time, but Path of Exile 1s popularity has only grown over the years, not the opposite, the costomer likes the product, and Path of Exile 2 isn't an anomaly here.

Now, yes, On death effects needs severe work, but that wasn't the point of the original post.

LOL what a funny view.
THEY would never produce something in just hoping *Maybe someone will like it and hopefully buy it". If a company works like this -> They are gone!

This view is just funny.
I am donating nothing. I paid hard cash for a service. And i received a very very good campaign and a BS Endgame.
I don't get the contention if when a player character can one-shot millions of monsters and occasional bosses, then why can't a celestial god also do the same to you? You are like an ant to them, it's absurd. If you are underprepared for a challenge, then it's completely upto you to make up for it. If you could curb stomp a god as a random human, then what even is the point of a progression system? Whats the point of putting any effort to the game??
I respect your point of view that you find 1 shot mechanics to be a good design and a fun addiotion to this game.

My view is that its a horrible design, its lazy and gives a very bad feeling.

Yeah, you don't sound like a sound individual.

Agree with the last point though, endgame is not there.
