Every run feels quite different depending on your boons/afflictions and map choices. Bosses actually feel like bosses and its hard to beat them. Puzzles, combat, random things.

You rely on pure RNG to unlock power of your own character and then you get cooked multiple times , that is just gambling you have false hope or something from my perspective especially when you run up to 4th trial having easy way to brick your whole run at the very end after long time 99% of players will have only more frustration from this .
Also sorry but bosses feel weak compared to how much output damage you do on good builds, you did not do your research properly, yes some builds perform bad some good but I never feel its hard to beat them, huge doubt is hard to beat when you melt them in seconds or 1 min , it does not feel like a boss to me at least .

yeah i kinda like it to :P First ascension is rly not that hard, second one either. 3rd okay maybe and 4th is the real challenge and afaic it's perfectly fine for it to be challenging.

obv it's not perfect, like i agree that pretty much max honor and honor resist relic matter (addition merchant choice is also great) but yeah aint that bad, just the usual "i want my char to be max out right now !"

its a fun farm. I'm zooming around with my QOTF and +% defense relics going over 100% ms base. I was farming chaos a lot but this turned out to be better.
Step 1 is to self reflect.
The biggest problem with it is these runs are predicated on lucky RNG not skill and they are completely imbalanced for different classes. It might be an okay ascension trial for caster classes but it isn’t for melee. Trial of chaos really isn’t okay for anyone because you can literally get forced to pick mods that are impossible to win against. It’s not how ultimatum was designed in the first place. You were supposed to stop when you got mods that you would surely die against. Chaos forces you to continue and surely die or give up with no rewards.
Sanctum is boring and repetitive as hell. Nobody should be forced to run let alone farm this thing. Every room type is boring as hell except for the one that's just "kill mobs that spawn" because you're actually playing the game instead of running around in a little rat maze for 3 year olds pressing buttons.
I'm not sure on this post. Delusional a good description.

Currently sekema has scaling on areas. Further you get in the harder honour lost on hit is. In early areas you might lose, 5 from fire. In area 4 you'll lose hundreds with no way to truly recoup it reasonably.

The trials largest issue is..
> Getting honour back

> Afflictions negating builds entirely

> Later stages chunking you for 15-30% of your honour (WITH honour resistance)
> Set ups being almost entirely focused on ONE stat (honor res)

> One mistake at any point potentially costing you the entire run. Oh you took 150 honour damage on floor one? Oh and you rolled prayer reduces honor? Yep, just reset. Your odds of coming back from that are nill if you're average. (90% of us are)

The amount of problems just these bring up puts it in the "This will never really be fixed due to the initial philosophy behind the mode itself."

There is room for a lack of understanding, but tying your classes functionally and survivability behind trials? Terrible idea and the reception is it's a terrible idea. You simply have separate trials for the acendency and normal runs. Boom easy, fixed entirely. Ascendency runs have different modifiers on them vs normal sek trials. Wow, insane. Mitigate the issue by not actually playing the original sek trials.

Lv80 to complete? AHAHAHAHAHAHA, good luck with that one unless you've been either god tier lucky on rolls or you have big bucks to buy gear.

This entire game being centered around rwt and trading is such a dated design and encourages the most toxic types of economies. We're already at the point where if you gear isn't at X value it's worthless. Worth more vendoring. Yeah, trading except you're pretty much barred from participating until you're level 60+. Reasonable.

Relics come into this as I've gotten shit rolls on practically every relic I've picked up. Oh, wow, ironically my best ones are the ones I bought.

Amazing a game about finding things, except you never find anything and end up having it essentially given to you.

Every here is truly blessed. This game is a curse. Very low quality.
I wouldn't mind them being this hard as long as I don't have to farm tokens to run them. If it is going to take me 20 tries to get through because I suck I am fine with that, but just let me run it over and over until i get my ascendency points.
I don't think it's as bad as everyone else makes it out to be, but I really hope this third still unknown way to get ascension unlocks is something I'm going to enjoy more than the current two ways. <_<
