The shop prices seem a little excessive no?

I am really enjoying PoE2 so far and i was like "this game is really fun i think i wouldn't mind spending money on it time to check out the store" and like, 42 dollars for a set (minimum) is insane no??

I'm no dev but as a customer i feel like reasonable prices are not only better for the player but healthy for the game in the long run.

No

You get to play the whole game, without spending anything, you can play it for hundreds or thousands of hours with out spending anything (even on stash tabs)

For all that free entertainment they most anyone should feel like they need to spend anything on is stash tabs (and they are not required)

Everything else is just fluff that you don't need, so you should be looking at it like a retail game

42 dollars 10000+ hours of game play
These MTX are covering 2 games now (or will be once they are done updating and porting assets) are account bound and will be usable in every part of the game for years to come (there are much worse ways to do MTX)

Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

He who controls the pants controls the galaxy. - Rick & Morty S3E1
There are games that cost much more to make that have microtransactions that don't cost as much as entire games. You aren't buying just the one thing either.

I wouldn't mind buying multiple 20 dollar skins but i don't see myself spending 42 dollars on a single skin. Is that so hard to understand? If it's cheaper more people will be able to buy it so you won't lose money.

I know you take a criticism of the game as an attack on yourself but i am not attacking the game i like it and want it to be better but 42-87 dollar skins aren't it.

Also i didn't say the game shouldn't have microtransactions, they should just be reasonably priced, 42 dollars minimum is just the devs taking the piss. Have some respect for yourself as a customer

Yeah look up the company that owns GGG and that will explain why it's $40-80 for a cosmetic armor set
