Chronomancer Lightning Warp (Ekko) Build looking for advice

The concept of this build is to effectively be Ekko from League of Legends.

For mapping, you use BL + LW. For bossing, you swap to the second weapon set to apply conductivity and cast soul offering, then swap back to spam as much lightning conduit as possible.

However I quickly figured out that 2 button builds feel kind of bad when you're getting swarmed and I'm finding that I have trouble bossing. Thus the attempt at including multiple defensive options (i.e. shield, blasphemy temp chains, recoup).

Clearly there's many upgrades to be made...the two other ascendancies obviously...as well as a shield with better block, better rings/gloves/boots, and a rare belt. But was just wondering if the community would also have additional feedback about the basic setup of the build...the skills and passive tree. For example, perhaps its worth going CI and unspeccing out of EB...etc.
