They should nerf the extreme outliers, not average builds that rely on a skill that others abuse.

The top end of a lot of skills should be nerfed, not the bottom end. A lot of end game builds leveraging multiple skills/supports are able to skyrocket damage to unnecessary magnitudes, however, those same skills are required at lower levels to eek out reasonable damage. I think there should be some focus on damage scaling as gem progression evolves into the end game.
It would also be worth reassessing the strength of energy shield and grim feast (ps, I LOVE IT) as it trivializes all other defensive options. ES is just too OP with Grim Feast. Either nerf ES (I think this would be a cop out) or boost Life/Armour/Evasion to make them viable defensive options. Also, for the love of everything holy, allow us to a) resocket runes and b) add attribute based runes. This would be a complete replacement of the crafting bench as it was intended to be. As it stands, you're strongarmed into gear selection; sometimes the same armour piece would suit your needs if you could just swap 12% fire res. for 12% cold res. |

The real question here is how are builds performing overall.
Are they completing breech and rituals. What percentage of players are losing to citadels. The very simple fact may be nerfs aren't much needed, but some buffing and tuning. Is energy shield busted, truthfully I think it's exactly the same as PoE 1. SO I would argue no. If you're build can't keep up with Stormweaver maybe the buffs should be the answer. Arc is unplayable in breach and ritual as a main skill just for the simple fact you WILL DIE WAITING FOR CHAINING to happen. Things I know for a fact need tuning, are indeed having to do with ascendancy. As it stands now I can carry any of my friends through Sekhema 4th floor at level 26 while they wait outside. They get full ascendancy at this level(26). Ascendancy is bad for many melee players. I won't even enter it and I can complete it. I am literally waiting for its to be tuned. Mapping is great. At 300% rarity I was having some issues since I wasn't wearing the "belt" and not slotting in 7 divine jewels with rarity. At 300% its busted. I dropped down to 180ish and now im sitting pretty with 200+ regals and have no wants for anything. I am in the process to shed all rarity today so I can loot those juicy whites in the T16's that are irridated and corrution modified with bosses. I've been saving map tiles for this to transpire and will make a Small fortune in trade after I complete this today. I'm honestly debating if I should run two of this crappiest Ventor's just to prove how much you can make with "negative rarity" in these high end maps. Those crappy Ventor's are honestly looking like some of the best items in the game and they will have spirit on ring LOL My friends list looks like I would expect in any league after 1 month. Maybe a little thin but hey you didn't answer to respecing there op builds that somehow where so poor.... That still baffles me youtube.com/@poe2boss
