I’ve always disliked the trend of simplifying everything and calling it "fun." Having to repeat bosses multiple times is normal.
Is it fun losing your map after one death?
Is it fun losing your citadel after one death?
Is it fun losing fates after one death on Trialmaster?
Is it fun losing other bosses invitations after one death?
How are you supposed to learn the fights in the endgame when one death means you can't even learn mechanics and need to spend hours (if not days) regrinding the key to the boss?
You regrind the keys and go again until you learn the fights. Giving you an opportunity to throw 5 more corpses at the boss dilutes the whole process.
You don't need to do any of the above, it is aspirational content that _should_ require effort, otherwise it has absolutely no meaning whatsoever.

This. You tell them for me. I'm done trying to beat the truth into people for today.

Yeah sure. I'll just go play something else instead. And many other people will.
Hardcore mentality should stay in hardcore mode.

I'd say good riddance, but I know ten other people are already pouring out with the same kind of 'feedback'. GIMMIE, NOW! GIMMIE NOW, or else!!!

You know it would help if Softcore was actually Softcore and not Mediumcore.
The 1 portal per map is just hardcore mechanics that are shoved into this mode where they don't belong. When I make a character if I pick Softcore specifically then that means I don't wanna lose hours of progress on death. They are either gonna give me my 6 portals back or I'm never touching this game in my life. Up to GGG if they want to lose this many players over their "vision" and "aspirational content" lmao
Removing exp loss would also help since some people ragequit over that too.
1 portal per map isn't fun, it adds nothing to the game, literally no softcore player asked for this "tension". It's stupid, and its bad game design period.

Do you even hear yourself? No one is asking for freebies.
Spending hours of time for ONE GODDAMN TRY on a boss is a bad game design. No game does that outside of hardcore modes. Not a single one.

I’m not a fan of having multiple different leagues
For example, if there were "Easy," "Normal," and "Punishing" modes, we’d likely see a distribution like 80% in Easy, 15% in Normal, and 5% in Punishing.
The result? The market becomes increasingly empty and inactive.
If 80% of players choose the "Easy mode," there is likely an issue with the normal mode. "Normal" implies average and should ideally attract at least 40–60% of players.

The issue isn’t the fights, boss encounters are challenging but fair once you learn their mechanics. The problem lies with trials, which are overly reliant on chance, randomness, and luck. Factors like connection issues, bugs, and other elements beyond player control make them even worse.
Additionally, you can’t properly prepare for trials because Relic slots unlock only after completing the hard trial, not before. This makes the unlocks feel pointless and further reduces your odds. Relic slots should unlock earlier through trial completion, giving players a small but meaningful advantage.
Right now, trials feel unfair and frustrating, with difficulty stemming from all the wrong reasons. They need adjustments to make them more enjoyable and rewarding.
