Warrior is boring/hard to play

"
Warrior isn't necessarily hard to play it's just painfully boring to level. Most of the worthwhile warrior skills are locked out till like level 41. Compare that to Sorc & Ranger who get their best skills right away. (...)

Plus the mana management is PITA and makes "Mana costs cnverted to life costs" nodes pretty much mandatory, then you use Blood Magic basically as soon as you can sustain 150+ Life Regen.

Warrior IS very boring right now for early levelling Rolling Slam isn't bad and Boneshatter is very satisfgying and you could be doing those two for awhile.

But who are we kidding? With some low level uniques you can breeze through Act 1 at the very least with just autoattack - and I'm not talking about the staff, there's some decent hammers.
Rolling Slam sucks. You try to use it on an enemy and you end up flying past it, or go for a group, hit an enemy, and you stop moving completely and hit either nobody or just one creature.

It's a little better once you figure you can hold the key to turn between the 1st and 2nd slam. It is a little awkward but for very early levels it is somewhat satisfying with Boneshatter indeed.

Armor Breaker is useless as you waste more DPS trying to apply Armor Breaker than you do just flat-out using your basic raw attack (this is actually true for every skill the Warrior has, but let's not dwell on that).

Basically if you are going to use a Shield Resonating Shield does it all. Raise shield, block incoming attacks, and break armour at same time.

I found it very satsifying to use on a Sunder Totem build. You keep blocking then you hear the "bang" sound of broken armour, then the Sunder triggers for a damage spike which tends to stun the bosses. In the early levels I found this was almost stun locking some bosses.

Molten Blast is one of your only ranged abilities and it's still really annoying to use. The only other ability I have used to increase my overall DPS is the Totem, and that's because it helps you do damage while you're too busy dodging every second to not get hit.

I think a problem with the game's design is some of these abilities are designed to become good when you combine them with X Y Z supports, PLUS a good deal of attack speed.

Something peculiar to POE if you compare to Diablo, is how your build feels like night and day simply by hitting a certain threshold in attack speed, or stun buildup etc.

But back to the skills, the game basically does not have a "baby" version of Boneshatter, or Earthquake etc. It has a "skeleton" version which you're supposed to add lego bricks to make it work like it's supposed to.

What I would love is for most of the abilities to get a damage increase to make them actually worthwhile to use.

But they cant/ That's how unintuitive POE is. You're supposed to find out by yourself, that if you add support X Y Z (Heft Brutality etc), then you see your DPS increase.

It's unintuitive in that you dont really level or upgrade your skill, other than through supports, which themselves are gated by number of sockets, ...

Perhaps what the game should do, is just provide more basic templates. Let people play a no brainer warrior, ranger etc.

It seems they tried to do that since you have suggested supports, only I found many obvious choices used in the most popular builds are not offered by default.
