Mapping Progression is Dead

I have completed all of the towers and maps around the edge of my initial "region" as I've begun to refer to it. I have steadily began filling in the center region just to see if anything else opens up but it has not.

My maps are not forging any connections to other areas.
The ONLY thing I can think of is I had a burning monolith spawn that might have overridden any connections that might spawn there?

either way - Once I finish the rest of the maps in the inner region - my mapping will be dead until this gets fixed.

I know GGG is on holiday but I have also made a post on reddit about this.
It seems to be I am the only unlucky soul to have this happen to them so far which is good. I don't mind levelling a new character as I had planned to anyways - but I didn't think my second character to level would be another monk lol.

Map is 100% completed
no new nodes
no new connections

Correction - this account can no longer map. Making new character won't help, as the map is accountwide.

Not as severe, but had a fun one with a unreachable untainted paradise right beside spawn on it's own little island.

Guess at some point there will be something to either reset the map or scramble/connect areas.

At first I was mistaken but quickly learned/was corrected on reddit that it doesn't matter about a new character. Mapping is dead for my account
