giant's blood requirement, is not worth it
my current strength at level 60 is 217 STR
my current two handed mace requirements are 126 STR if I want to dual wield it, I must sacrifice all of my damage node for strength attribute node which is not worth it or, keep the damage node and use 2 lower level mace, which I tried and it signifcantly lower your damage, its just why? the requirement is just made it impossible to use this node..unless you use vertex unique helmet, why a unique item must be a requirement to use an available passive node? please GGG think about it.. I am level 44 and my strength is around 280. I needed 264 for my current weapon. There has to be a balance in this game. You can easily get more strength by sacrificing a few nodes.

Reduced stat requirement affix doesn’t work with the skill either. It’s garbage, and I wasted quite a bit currency and time getting good gear that’s basically trash now.

Apart from going a slightly (a couple extra points) out of my way to path through the "Beef" node on the passive tree, and the few +12 strength nodes right next to Giant's Blood (which I'd have likely taken anyway), I haven't really had to sacrifice much to get the ~400 str I need for Giant's blood (currently level 68, and just finished with the campaign).
I've had to forego taking dex and int on the passive tree, and made sure that most of my gear has a strength mod, but my DPS is WAY higher with a 2h, and I'm still able to max out my block (or at least I will in a few levels). I've had to buy a few gear pieces on the trade site (but none that cost more than an exalted), and my resistances still leave something to be desired, but as far as keystones go, Giant's blood seems reasonably well balanced. You can't just slap it into a hybrid build, but for a pure strength build it's more of a hurdle than a wall. That said, if you're trying to do it without trading, I can see why you'd be having a lot of difficulty. The gear drops in PoE2 are not exactly generous, and without bench crafting (or really much of any crafting) it's often impossible to get the stats you need, so any build that NEEDS you to stack a certain stat is going to be frustrating. But that's more of an issue with PoE2's anemic loot and miserable crafting system than it is with the giant's blood node in particular. Last edited by iteration2#2163 on Dec 25, 2024, 4:23:22 PM
