"Rarity of items found" Ruin the game!
" Chayula if you use the staff skills still going to be strong because staff skills are strong... and you can use them on stormweaver and on gemling legion and still be strong.. . the problem with Chayula.. again is not a problem of melee vs range its a problem of bad subclasses vs good ones.. and the main issue with Chayula is that its designed around leech for mana and ES .. but Leech is very bad right now... and not only that.. only leech we have is "physical attack" which basically means you can only use wind skills of staff and nothing else and you need pure phys weapon/build which is harder to scale.. Chayula definitely need some work too and improvements ... but again its specific class balance issue not melee vs range.. and its not as impactful as the issues caused by magic find and rarity.. HOWEVER !! i think its about time they make post " you can now change asscendacy" like in poe 1.. . so people who picked Chayula before understanding the game and knowing its not good can change to invoker |

A significant problem for Chayula is that Quarterstaffs are almost entirely devoted to Invoker builds. Chayula can be "good" by playing it as an Invoker. That's flawed design.

" that is not true... i played Quarterstaffs gemling legion attri stacker and its op ... its soooooooooooo strong infact i think gemling legion is better for Quarterstaffs than invoker.. (even without attri stacker ) using same support twice is big .. quality is big .. it also solve attributes .. so i dont agree that Quarterstaffs is designed for invoker when Quarterstaffs is perfectly strong on stormweaver and on gemling legion.. its just that Chayula need to become more general maybe instad of picking up breach stuff and "leeching" x amount of mana / life from it.. .let it become a buff that grant you general leech which will work on any skill you wanna use.. . bloodmage has spell dmg leech why cant Chayula has leech in the kit ? |

+1; Remove Rarity!

" You are completely missing the point. Granted people are not doing a great job of explaining their point. MF sucks because you have to make a choice between numerically good item for your build (without MF) and numerically bad item for your build (with MF) and at the moment you always choose the item which is bad for your build because MF is too strong. That's it. Make Things For Smile!

" 100% that is the problem and i did mention it here .. . and i said that i do not like the fact that i have to chose build based on how much rarity it can stack or having to chose bad items because it gives me more rarity.. its bad design its unfun.. and i said that the choice shouldnt be between power or loot and that they should remove it from items and add it at greater numbers on the atlass passive tree where it belongs |

Yea we got rid of this last time for a reason didn't we?
A lot of PoE 2 really feels like "Sure we changed this before because it didn't work but this time, THIS time it'll work if we just do the exact same thing." The short answer is MF is just build power/clear speed but in a way that kinda sucks. Double MF is double clear speed essentially, but also like it sucks and feels bad to play with. +1 Please remove this stat from the game. It feels awful to have legit gear upgrades that you can't wear because rarity is so brokenly OP to stack.

It's probably part of the bizarro-vision that a "top" character should be amassing 1,000x the loot of an "average" character, which is insane if you stop to think about it for 2 seconds.
With no MF, a build that does 20x the damage of others would theoretically farm 20x as fast and get 20x the loot over a given time period. Outside of buggy slop like Diablo 4, a build doing 20x the damage of average builds is pretty massive in an ARPG. Now imagine a build that accumulates 1,000x the average attainable loot over a given time period. That's all anyone is going to play. Nobody in their right mind is going to play something (unless it's an alternate character) that isn't a screen-clear MF farm machine, if they can get literally 1,000x the loot that way. |

" My comment was made within the context of comparing the two Monk Ascendancies. Mercenary performance is irrelvant. " Look at the twenty something Quarterstaff skills. Only TWO (2) directly interact with the Chayula tree. The vast majority cater to an elemental build. Invoker is the elemental monk build. Chayula gets next to no support. This is also observed in their available support/ The ascendancy is meant to interact with the Chaos tag but quarterstaffs and their own flipping location in the Passive Tree gives them jack to work with.
