Stampede movement feels very bad, and can't be trusted
+1. Despite the warrior needing an enormous rework, It's arguable the most fun I've had so far. The big slams, AOE, and aftershocks actually look/feel/sound really nice. It's just a satisfying class to play.
Stampede though.. I recently got my warrior into endgame and decided to respec into a stampede build. It's definitely potent, but you're constantly getting stuck on enemies, environmental obstacles, or detouring in a completely random direction. Hard to calculate where you'll end up sometimes, and reminds me of the short time I messed with flicker strike on my monk. Super fun skill, but 50% of the time it dumps you off in the worst place imaginable and you get nuked by a mob or rare. I really hope the warrior gets a lot of love soon. It still baffles me how the class that's physically the strongest takes such an absurd amount of time to swing a weapon, when my bean-pole of a monk can whip a 6-foot quarterstaff around like its made of aerogel.. I recently learned from a friend about the whole stampede not being about to push things around, and was a bit surprised.
I then proceeded to bully him all over the place in my hideout with tempest flurry. TL:DR, theres definitely a whole lot of disparity between the effects and functionality between the two current melee weapon skill sets. |
