Chaos Inoculatiuon plus Mind over Matter and Eldritch Battery stun threshold
Hey,
if I take CI and MoM, I basically become blood mage using mana. But how are stuns calculated? In POE 1 Occultist had a talent that made her immune to stuns while having energy shield which is always with CI. But there is no such thing in POE 2. There is Ascetism, which sounds mandatory with CI, but with EB I no longer have any ES. So how is my stun threshold calculated? Am I missing something or is it just completely unplayable combination? In PoE 1, CI + EB was also a rather unplayable combination. :P
Though in Beta someone did try. That said, there's that basically mandatory amulet that allows you to still have ES with EB, and the bottom of the tree offers stun threshold through "Hefty Unit". There's also stun threshold rolls on items, and the stun charms. It could be doable, but you'll still eat stuns a lot. You need to take MoM so your mana actually does the tanking, you don't need CI for this at all.
Sadly I have no idea regarding the stun question which is how I found this thread since I would love to know. With using EB and MoM I get stunned from the smallest attack. |

my bad, I have MoM too, didn't mention it, but that still doesn't answer my question. Inow have no life, no ES and only mana and there is no mana based stun threshold so is it calculated from what I had before conversion or just from the 1 HP I have now which would make it unplayable

With no other forms of mitigation, even if it's calculated off the hitpoints you would have, it's still constant stuns. Those are balanced for people having either an 80%+ chance to not be hit, or reduce the received hits massively; Normal ES users usually get at least hp + 20% ES or 50%+ ES base stun threshold. I'm not sure what CI even grants here.

" CI is for chaos immunity |

" the CI makes me immune to chaos damage, makes sense since in POE 2 chaos damage deals twice as much dmg to ES and chaos resist is hard to come by. But it also makes my maximum HP 1, thats why i wonder about the stun threshold |

Well, you gotta pay for it somehow.
Though, once you take EB, there's no ES left to take double damage from chaos damage. There's also charms for both poison and stun immunity, and for the former some armour, I believe. I'm not sure if it's viable to get +stun threshold on items as a base, but it could be worth a try? Zaanus:

i can confirm, you get hit once and its over, endgame stuns make it just unplayable , also ES threshold wont work because you end up with 0 ES , even a squirrel fart will leave you back to your hideout.

" You do have ES using the unique amulet. |
