Crossprogression and account linking problems STEAM < > PS5
Hello Team,
I have two POE accounts, one that was created on Playstation years ago and another one via the website for the POE2 early access with the same e-mail adress. I have the POE2 EA (which is great) for Steam /PC and tried to link my SONY PSN account to with, which was a bit odd and seemed like it did not work. The Sony linking process did not show me anything and was "connected" in a few seconds, so the POE-account-management said it is linked. So I do not know if this is my correct and primary SONY PSN ID or a different one. 8 Days ago I bought the POE2 EA for PlayStation5 and hoped that I can use the cross-progress, but on PS5 it does not show me which POE2 user ID is used. On PC it shows an older POE1 ID and my new POE2 ID But not my any linked SONY PSN Account. When playing POE2 on PS5 I can not start it on PC (Steam) and vice versa, but no cross-progression or character selection is possible. On PS5 it even says that the POE2 EA is still possible to purchase. Raised a ticket for GGG support on dec. 13th, still waiting if the tech support can help. Can not even get my money back from Sony :/ What I did on PS5: 1. Create a new character. 2. Press start and log out. 3. Go back to the character select screen. 4. Press R3 to bring up the account selection BUT NO account appears when hitting R3. Just a notification about private leagues that can not be migrated. Need help here, wanted to play on my vacation which started already and I am not able to do so. Best regards Last bumped on Jan 29, 2025, 4:18:05 AM

Hej mate, did you find any solution for this problem? I have the same problem and could not find any solution to this problem.
Basically I have linked my POE account to Steam and Sony. However, for some reason my PC POE and STEAM POE accounts are not synching with my PS5 account (even though the account is linked). I also have bought POE2 on both STEAM and PS5, so this should not cause any problems I hope. Last edited by LuRaZ#1132 on Dec 30, 2024, 4:17:10 AM

At first, I bought early access on PS5 and played for 100+ hours. Later, I wanted to play on PC (I think using a mouse would be more accurate). So I downloaded the game and tried to link my email with my PlayStation ID and Steam ID, hoping to be able to play on PC immediately.
But the system seems to say that you don't have early access rights. At first, I wasn't sure if it was a matter of incomplete ID connection or if the game requires us to purchase early access rights separately. So I went to bed and will try again the next day. The next day, I tried to log in on PC, but there was still a message saying that I had to purchase early access rights first. So I understood that I might have to purchase early access rights separately for each platform. So I decided to go back to play on PlayStation first until the game's early access period ends (I didn't want to spend money to buy twice). But when I went back to play on PlayStation, the game asked me to create a new character (the original save and inventory were not found). I'm not sure what I did or what settings I did wrong or if it was a technical problem. I just hope that the team can tell me or fix the above problem for me. With respect. ***Update Recently I found that on the PlayStation when selecting a character, when I press the R3 button, I found that there were two sub-IDs. If I select the correct ID, I will find the old save game as usual. I'm not sure what I did wrong when linking the IDs together to get two sub-IDs in the email. " When I realized that this issue exists, I opened a ticket and got the first answer a few days ago, but still waiting for the solution. My vacation is about to end and I haven't used the cross progression one second, so I don't have to describe my frustration. |

Is this issue resolved? I also received an email on 6 January that this can be resolved soon. Now it is 24 January and still no solution. I wonder what keeps the from solving this problem for soo long.

Same here. Still waiting. Wasted money without an option for refunds. I should’ve sticked to it playing on PC…
