We need WASD movement for PoE 1 now too.

After experiencing WASD in PoE 2, I'll never go back to mouse movement. This is the only thing keeping me from going back to a new league when GGG releases the next PoE 1 league.

Any thoughts? I can't be the only one.

I think id like to see it as an option. Going to be hard to flask piano at the same time so you'd probably need to automate flasks.
I'd love to see it, I'd love to try PoE1 but I'll never do it without WASD movement.

I highly doubt it'll happen. It's a big investment in an old game that in all likelihood is already well on it's final ride into the sunset (even if they let that ride go on for a long time).

Only way it happens is if we have a OSRS moment - POE2 bombs and everyone goes over to PoE1.
i'd like it with some changes, the current iteration is there with controller in mind and has auto targeting, get that to fuck on wasd i want to be able to target the mob i want not what the game wants

Would be nice but I don't even think poe1 has animations for characters walking one way and attacking or casting another way.
Basically, it was the reason why I never could play PoE 1 in the first place. Even without PoE 2, there are a lot of isometric WASD action games, so I never could understand why all ARPG still didn't adapt it. Btw, another thing which even PoE2 didn't adapt is camera shifting to the cursor direction, like in basically all modern isometric action games.
No thanks, I love my mouse and click gameplay. As soon as they make WASD an option, the entire game will be balanced around it, making me a very, very sad man.

POE 2 is designed primarily for console.
If they added without touching anything more (mechanic, skills, movement), fine.
If they do it like in PoE2 (destroying click-to-move), no, thanks.

Yeah I loaded up PoE1 after getting salty and automatically tried to move with WASD. It's soooo much better. I didn't play that long because I don't like mouse movement anymore. Same thing happened with LE.

Because WASD is the worst thing possible in an isometric game. Every isometric game with it is a failure.
It is an horrible hybridation of the worst of both point and click and controller.
If you want optimal control you play point and click
If you want quality of life you play with a controller.

PoE2 came with an autoaim that destroyed the 3 ways of control. Point and click, WASD and controller are horrible in poe2.

WASD in isometric do not work because you do not control FOV with your mouse like in other first or third person games.
It only has 8 directionals and you need to press 2 active inputs for a diagonal strafe.
The truth is WASD players are just people unable to understand point and click or aRPGs.
These are facts. All you guys have to say for WASD is repeating like npc: " Hmm WASD so good."
If you want QoL you play with a controller, no reason to play WASD in any world.

Implementing WASD in poe1? No thanks. That's not the controls that keeps you guys out of poe1, that is the skill check you will never be able to overcome. Stick to poe2 dodgeroll fiesta.
