stumbled upon this thread when it started happening to me. Posting this in case what worked for me helps anyone. The symptoms for me started after a Win 11 update. Starting POE2 would cause my wifi connection to drop the moment it started looking to connect to the login server. After some more investigation, it turned out that this was true for any game started through STEAM. searching through the STEAM forums I found that the most likely cause was a corrupted NIC driver. resetting the network drivers solved the problem:
(on Win 11) go to: Settings>Network and Internet>Advanced Network Settings>Network Reset (under "More Settings") Reset the network adapters and restart the computer. Stay Sane Exiles |

Try changing the wifi channel on your router. For some reason, my router reset the settings, before that I was sitting on wifi5, 64 channel. He reset to 48 and the nightmare started, as soon as I logged into the game, the ping went up to 2000!As soon as I returned channel 64, the problem went away!

Same to me!
I get disconnected by the server at least 3-4 time on hour, without any reason. |

I'm noticing that during lag, there is no interval between reconnection attempts. This is causing my router to overheat and shut down.
Anyone else having this same effect? |
