Mana Drain Enemies - POE 2 EA

Bump.

Boss with teleport, smoke and mana drain. How is a caster suppose to get away, get mana, and cast? Mana drain rate is the issue, not the mechanic.
I've been coolecting simulacrum for about 2 weeks, just to be one shoted on 3d wave by some random mana drain rare mob that drained my 7k mana almost instantly. amount of mana drain should be fixed imho.
It's been spawned just on me, I could nothing to do.. I want to delete this game (
This ring drains mana WAY too fast!
Even with my sorcerer, with 6k mana (that I use as a lifepool) and 1,2k mana regen, if I get tapped for just 1 second, the effects are absolutely devastating!

Ofcourse, you can try to move away, in or out of the donut.
Here's how that goes:

- If you try to move inside the donut, half the time the effect doesn't seem to get cancelled anyway and on top of that, you are now next to this souped up rare stunning you into submission because you made the brilliant decision, as alot of casters do, to spec into Chaos Inoculation and having a healthpool of exactly 1 basically means that if a monster farts in your general direction, you get stunned. And then you die.

- If you try to move away from the dunut, the monster will just either catch up to you because, again, you are being stunlocked or, and somehow I always win this lottery, they have the ability to teleport. Eventually you will succomb to this madness, and die.

Most of the time, when you meet them in the wild, it's fine. You can see them coming because, surprise, there's a big blue circle of doom around them setting of your fight or flight responses, giving you some time to react, unless they have very high speed, or worse, the aforementioned teleport ability.

There are some suggestions I could make like recucing the effectiveness of it (by at least 75%) or changing how it works completely but, whatever you decide to do, for the love of everything that is sacred and holy, do NOT allow these monsters to spawn with this ability in rituals!
The space it too cramped to deal with this ability. Having a monster spawn in a ritual with this ability is a guaranteed ticket to the cemetary, there is nothing you can do about it.

Sorry for the long rant but this is just the one thing that frustrates me about this game that deserves immediate attention.




simple Fix make MOM resist that ring and be done with it.
Not a bad idea.
These mobs have a big bright visual ring around them. 30% movement speed, blink (if you are a sorc and dont have blink, then you really were asking for this), using stun, electrocute, freeze, or hell even the landscape to kite while you use lightning orb or similar abilities.

People forget that you still have to know how to play defensively... you cant just rush in and go pew pew and blow everything up all the time or you get complacent and get caught in this stuff.

I'm sorry you died, bro. It sucks. I main a sorc and I don't like that affix either. Sometimes challenges are a good thing and they make us learn and adapt.
Yes, the mana burn mobs are completely out of control with how quickly it drains. It drains so quickly it´s close to be consider a one shot mechanic for Mind Over Matter builds.

They could probably nerf it by 90% and it would still be a threat to watch out for to many builds.
