can we please be able to remove runes

You also "lose" your crafting orbs after using them. Why should it be different with runes? It is also very short-sighted.
The amount of runes in circulation would be ridiculous after only a few hours.
What you ask for is inflation.

They both sell for 1 or 2 exalts a piece on the tradesite and i've myself found a couple from the few runs i've done.

Most of them are 4 Ex and up, which is a very high price for a meager +7% chaos resistance considering you can get items with +25% chaos resistance and more for 1 Ex.

So no, it's completely fine the way it is and doesn't need to be watered down for the plebians.

The fact that you've already made "a few runs and found a couple" in just over a week makes it obvious that you're not someone to give any advice or commentary on issues that concern normal players. Most of us have a life, you know?

Also, you're a douche.

If runes are supposed to be copying the runes from D2, then it would make sense for us to be able to socket them out. D2 literally has a cube recipe that lets you unsocked runes by using jewels or something lol

Or at least let people just replace the current rune. It's so stupid that your item is just bricked forever if you get too much of a res cus you swapped another item. The whole crafting """system""" in this game is a joke. You aren't crafting anything ever. All you do is keep slamming extra mods till its 6-mod then you hit a wall and if its good you equip/sell it on trade if not then off it goes to the vendor for 2 regal shards. Woooow such depth. It's so boring. It's so 1-dimensional,bland and uncreative, it's just an oversimplified worse downgraded version of "crafting" from PoE 1. You can't even call it crafting, all you ever do is "+1 mod" on an item. At least put back alts and scours in the game.

I don't see how the runes in PoE2 were supposed to be like the runes in D2.
The whole "Even Diablo 2 had it" arguement is getting old since Diablo 2; as good as it is now has many issues that the devs never bothered to deal with or took a long time to implement/do.
Diablo 2 is historically known for punishing players mistakes.
It took them 9 years to add respec as an example.

The recipe you talk about was added in 1.10 ( about 2 years after the release of LoD) and required a Hel rune which wasn't the easiest to get back then.

I'm not attacking you personally, I just see a lot of posts venting their ill informed opinions.

The game is 10 days old, i'm sure the devs are cooking so lets settle down.

I personally enjoy the fact that I need to put thoughts behind everything I do in the game.
Because that to me gives me the same exact feeling i got when I was playing Diablo 2 and makes every progress rewarding.

If they add the ability to unsocket i'd prefer if the cost was steep so that it would still be a burden to the player.

There are 6k+ runes of each type available for trade currently, how much more inflated could that be? I have so many in my stash that I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with them, although I really don't play that much.

But yeah, I agree that the runes should break when you're removing them.

Most of them yes but you can find them below that price at all times if you just look or do you always pay the highest price for an item that can be bought cheaper?

I don't see the relevance in your arguement.
I'm trying to give you advice in checking trading or run chaos temple since they are not as uncommon as you imply.

But since it doesn't suit your narrative i'm a douche.

Uh oh, another thing that requires a little effort farming and/or having to put some thought into your gearing. We can't have that! Pitch forks everyone, quick! Who does GGG think we are to assume we want to have to earn things, the audacity!

Yes, it's a problem when you have to literally replace a really good piece of gear. It's not "a little effort farming", its a time-wasting mechanic designed to squeeze out more gametime out of people. But guess what, people will quit instead. They'll change runes eventually or just put in a crafting bench that can interact with runes, that's pretty inevitable. It's just nice qol.
maybe no removing cause they drop too often. but at least the chance to replace them. you change one item and then completely brick other items cause of wrong stats (mostly resistances). replacing runes would be better.

That kind of unnecessary friction is what will make players get bored of the game and leave. Gearing up,crafting etc. should be fun. Not something littered with limitations and things that waste your time for no reason.

You're projecting what you feel onto others.
What you find fun and what I find fun aren't one and the same.

I respect your opinion, but I vehemently disagree with it since I prefer it to matter when I do manage to make that one craft pop.
