4th ascendancy trial is ridiculous

I just finished 10 waves ultimatum on lvl 80, that was supposed to give ascendancy point. All that I got is a fragment of victorious, 1 out of 3 fragments you need to unlock the door.


the 10 waves is for your 3rd ascendency, trial master is for the 4th. You also have the option of Sekhema, however, I found chaos better for me personally on my characters in terms of profitability, speed and accessibility.

One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.
Acendencies should not be connected to content this difficult. I love difficulty but spending half an hour to get one chance at a hard boss is horrible. My character is lvl 91 and this content is still very hard and tedious. That is absurd.

My relics are all honor resistance and max honor. It's still crazy difficult.

No, the endgame is focused on trading. The game isn't balanced around single-player.

Depends. Some items are far harder to get than others simply by the disposability/price of them. Like waystones, which is why I'd like them added to the currency exchange.

Get movement speed as well. That alone will make everything easier. Course if you're a non-EV build without heavy damage, then why are you trying Sekema.

I read a post some time ago that really stuck with me and sums up the real issue with the trials, something like: "In Path of Exile you ascend to fight pinnacle bosses, in Path of Exile 2 you fight pinnacle bosses to ascend."

This. This is the biggest problem, not just with ascending, but GGG's entire design philosophy, which has been trending this direction for years, starting in PoE1. They want to shift almost all real player power to T15/16/17/pinnacle content. But by doing that, they are gutting player progression towards that endgame content and making the game less fun prior to that content. But it is so much worse in PoE2 with the lack of deeper crafting mechanics and far worse drop rates.
