[PoE2] [Quest Flag] Quest Item - Balbala's Barya

During the Cruel Act2, Ascent to Power quest, by doing so will result a flag bug and unable to proceed the quest.

Steps of cause:

1. Defeating Balbala for the first time in Cruel, obtain Balbala's Barya.

2. Although the quest needs you to take it to the camp and talk with NPC, you can take it straight to the Trial of Sekhemas and use it there.

3. After exiting the trial, the Barya is gone. Now this quest item is nowhere to be found, resulting the quest "Ascent to Power" unable to proceed. As defeating Balbala for additional times does not seem to drop anymore Baryas.

Suggestions:

a) Defeating Balbala for additional times will have a chance for dropping Balbala's Barya again.

b) Preventing players for putting the Barya into the Relic Altar at the Trial before its other related quest flags are cleared.

For now, as a player who is currently stuck by this flag issue, I would kindly ask you to add 1 Balbala's Barya into my inventory so I could proceed the quest.

If you're experiencing the exact same situation as me, don't be sad - not being able to complete 'Ascent to Power' quest for a 2nd time does not seem to give you any real downsides that relates to your character. And no, by completing the quest in Cruel again, it does not let you change your Ascendancy.

In short, your character is fine. You're not screwed.

All you have to deal with is the texts on the right side of your screen telling you to travel to Traitor's Passage and search it. I know, I feel the itch too, but let's not being to harsh on both ourselves and the dev for Early Access. Have fun!

I am experiencing the exact same issue described above with Balbala's Barya in the "Ascent to Power" quest during Cruel Act 2. After using the Barya at the Trial of Sekhemas, the item disappeared, and I can no longer progress the quest. Defeating Balbala again does not drop another Barya.

i lost the item i got from balbala (after failing to kill Rattlecage in the trials) but Balbala, the Advisor is sitting behind the Relic Altar [in the trial room], interact with him and you ll get a green item. You add a Relic (magic blue item) -I had found it in this same map-trial earlier if i m not wrong- into the relic altar and trial begins.
