easy/norm/hard mode

Easy fix.. I don't have an ego when gamming. I just want to progress in a fun way. I don't want these overpowered mobs and bosses. It's not all the time and the nerfs helped at lower levels. Diablo4 has easy and hard levels you can pick and play. One mini boss has a drain mana aura that drains your mana to zero the second you're touched. You can't run away because most these mobs run faster than you can dodge/run. These things just add frustration to the game and seem so unfair. Streamer and professional gamers always only show how easy the game is and it's misleading. They sit for hours dying and repeating the process over and over that's not fun it becomes a job not a game. Games used to be fun but dev's are going the dark souls way of overpowering everything. I wouldn't say anything but I like this game it's one of the best games I've played if not the best top down game. At level 17 sorcerer I'm draining mana just to get these mobs down. Mind you that it's not all the time. I know it's early access. IMO streamer and professional gamers input can be very helpful but can be very misleading when showing their videos of how easy it is.

There are Hardcore, Solo-Slef Found, Normal(Softcore) and SSF Hardcore.
Hey I'm stuck at 17 and the last boss wolf I hope. That's horrible isn't it. This old man knows nothing about programming. I'm just not that good, I mean I got this far back at it again I will go. I'm sure I'll get it down. The game is great to me.
Easy fix😂😂🤣 what?
Go play world of warcraft. This game is already too easy. Builds killing bosses in two seconds.. you can dodge every ability of the bosses. Its actually too easy and boring already.
They made ruthless, they have no excuse not to make carebear. More people want it.
It is just their egos. It is the same old misunderstanding that if you make the game so awful and grindy, that people never complete all content and get all items they will be interested in running on the hamster wheel forever. Newsflash - they get demotivated and take their time and money somewhere else.

Yes, if the game is easy, the league may last less of a month, but if the players had fun they would be looking forward to the next league. And guess what - people buy supporter packs and stash tabs at the start of the league.

One should also know their demographic - if it is people who now are mostly in their 30s to 40s, and not only have the accompanying life responsibilities but have played games in the arpg genre for 15 years, you hardly can expect them to be interested to grind like how they did when they were 16 and first fell in love with gaming.

All of this is not complicated reasoning, just basic common sense, and if ggg and gaming companies in general, somehow fail to grasp it, one must wonder - has the corporate leadership grown so arrogant that they now believe they can dictate what people should enjoy?

To clarify the magnitude of the issue, imagine if the big soda companies gathered together and decided that they should gradually replace their best products - cola , pepsi, mountain dew, you name it, with carbonated piss with sugar, because recently new research on the benefits of urinotherapy emerged and became popularised. And the tragedy of this imaginary scenario is not that the companies would go bankrupt and the market would correct the situation, but that the opposite would happen - because people have grown so accustomed and addicted to drinking carbonated sweetened drinks, they would still prefer drinking them even, if they started tasting like piss, to quitting and going cold turkey.
And to continue our doomsday scenario, the companies feel so validated in their success and the correctness of their decision, that they decide to spice up their drinks by replacing all the carbon with stomach gas. And then the confectionary producing companies, who have been watching all along, decide to share in the success of this new approach, and decide to replace the chocolate in all products with sh%#. Hey, recycling is always good, right?

This and precisely this is why d2, grim dawn and titan quest are the last arpgs to be mainly single player and moddable. This is why you cannot even own your windows or office anymore, and why you have to watch 5 minutes of commercials in a 15 minute youtube video.

And the real antagonists, the true bastardos in all of this are not at all the companies but the white knights who defend them and even more than those, us who tolerate, endure and continue to chug toiled dew.
Show me one online game where they have such thing.

When I got stuck on the wolf guy I would keep trying different classes until one got through. I then used the spoils that character got to help any other classes I wanted to try out. The first character through the gauntlet is the hardest.
+1.
give 20% inc move speed and 30% less map size in this game mod thx

anyway, they already started to make the game easier.
maybe they do ruthless in 10 years.

This!

Both PoE games are centered around an economy with PvP elements via ladders and races. The player base is already fractured into several leagues/modes based on difficulty. Should we divide the player base even further by giving each game mode 4 difficulties?

I seriously don't get how people can call this an "easy fix" unless they're totally misunderstanding what the games are built upon.
