Appearance Armor.

charactors all tend to look the same once your in act 3 merciless.
but there is some cool looking gear in the game, but you cant really use it late in the game.

give a extra tab where gear is used for appearance.

this also opens up a new market for items to sell in the shop, appearance gear sets.

Right now the only "visual" gear customization is for weapons and helms (purchased through microtransactions). What I'd like to see is not only custom visual purchases for armor and shields, but a Gear Laboratory where your entire gear can be uniquely customized to your liking. Here's how it might work:

Everyone would have access to the Gear Laboratory. Microtransaction purchases would involve buying a specific item to be used on ANY piece of gear. For instance: horns, spikes, red dye, white dye, green-poison dye, enlarged blade, curved blade, etc.

From here, I could say make my normal looking dagger twice as long, with two blades, glowing red, dripping blood, with a small curved blade coming out of the handle. Or something like that.

I want my character to look like MY character and nobody else's. This would allow me to do so.

But yes, an option to select a 'visual' gear as well as the real gear would fix aesthetic issues.



I was wearing whites to make the look work, unfortunately I don't care about armour/energy shield gear, so in normal circumstances, I always look like crap.

its good to see I am not alone on this one.

right now, every plate charactor looks exactly the same with the orange armor.
its weird how the best gear, is so plain, and the low end gear looks amazing.
