BUG: Respec tool applied result changed from what was shown...
I just used the respec tool to both reallocate some points, and spend some new unspent points at the same time..
When I clicked apply, it decided not to apply in the state the UI was in. It moved two points back to where they came from... At first I thought they were lost, but I see now that they were just moved back to where they had been. Super weird. Fortunately, I happened to have a video running. 1. I started with 2 never before spent points 2. I refunded 3 more to have 5 free 3. I spent one on "Martial Artistry" in the QS skills, leaving 4 4. I spent 4 reaching towards the herald skills, falling one short of "Coming Calamity" 4. I refunded one point a point out of the cold area by "Exposed to the Cosmos", and allocated it to "Coming Calamity" (at 4:02 in the video) 5. Then I clicked "Apply Points".... 6. The tool REMOVED "Coming Calamity" and the previous node reaching to it from my spec! 7. Those two points were put back in "Step Like Mist" and the adjacent "Evasion and Energy Shield" node, which I had refunded during the respec. At the end of the video you can see me looking at the node a bit confused. POE2 passive points respec bug - YouTube P.S. I would really help if the skill points info in the upper right corner showed the number of SPENT points... Currently it only shows unspent points, which are often zero. Instead of: Skill points: 3 (unspent points) It should read: Skill points 54 (+3) where the +3 is the 3 available.... or something like this.. After careful review of the video and my character, it looks like I did *NOT* lose skill points..
Instead the respec tool just botched up the apply and didn't apply the points in the state the tree was in when I clicked apply. It removed the aallocation of "Coming Calamity" and the node before it, and put those points back to where they were before I refunded them... (back into "Step like Mist" and the adjacent "Evasion and Energy SHield") That's really weird... but at least it didn't lose them. |
