[Console] I am simply avoiding the market website due to egregious inconvenience.

I'll try not to be too toxic here, but I pretty much loathe that there's no in-game auction house as used to be the case in poe 1 and that we're now forced to completely disengage with the console that has our attention, open a laptop (as if I'm not playing on PS5 for a reason, now i need 2 devices to play one game) or open some other device with a browser and log in separately, completely breaking all immersion to then go out of our way and deal with a market site many console players have for years not been accustomed to and never asked to have forced on us. I have not completely engaged with it to the extent that I've made a trade and honestly, I have ZERO desire to. At all. It's admittedly own fault that I blindly jumped back into Poe 2 after not having played since possibly Sanctum, idk i didn't look which league. I am unfortunately just gonna play without the market and whatever drops I get, that'll be my whole experience. Whatever anyone else's vote is on the current state of market implementation for console players, I'm not knocking it. Enjoy it if you like things this way. But this is, in my humble opinion, not a positive evolution of the path experience for console players, this is a cop out and a complete regression where interface, accessibility and enjoyment are all nerfed straight to zero. I have even seen PC players and steamers advocating for an improvement to what is an even worse trading experience now than its ever been for console players. And what's worse, we still don't even get to trade with PC players! It's a separate marketplace that's still only for console players. So now, not only is it even more inaccessible and tedious to deal with, but for all our efforts to learn a new way of using the marketplace that for years we weren't accustomed to, there is ZERO benefit or upside for the effort because we don't even get a better economy. Doubling down on what was already an unfathomably painful economic experience console already has been for the years upon years upon years that we were brushed under the rug and forgotten. I know we're not the majority base, but console players have been just as loyal as our PC peers for all this time and have been clamoring for a better market experience, but we've been ruthlessly stripped of all convenience and it's fractured the console economy even more. My vote: 👎👎 I'd be willing to bet there is a large number of console players that are just not using the marketplace at all now. As if by comparison to PC, being the minority platform didn't already have us paying 50 times the going rate for purchases due to scarcity and extreme demand. This will only get far, far worse now that GGG has foregone putting in the effort to make the market accessible on console. Have you considered that not everyone has an extra laptop or PC for using the marketplace? So they'd be stuck with a highly unintuitive experience with a smart phone? And GGG have you tried whispering players through the console browser? It's the most horrifically bad experience imaginable. This was not thought through. It is a glaring, game ruining oversight that MUST be rectified. And my foolish self, I'll pat myself on the back too, for entirely forgetting that one forum post years ago about how this scenario was a looming eventuality. Fool that I am. It's what I deserve I suppose. Be that as it may, you've got my 100 and I'm here. Please please please consider doing right by us console players, i beg that you streamline the experience so we're not sitting here with console, controller, headset, laptop, mouse, on a separate table, this is honestly just.... Come on man! *For posterity, somehow I have 2 website accounts now after registering twitch via email and not PSN so you're seeing my old ps4 login for this post, even though I'm playing on PS5. Not that it matters. Last bumped on Dec 13, 2024, 12:15:35 PM
