PS5 Game Performance is just awful and unplayable

The game's performance on the PS5 is beyond disappointing, especially in co-op mode. I understand that some bugs and other gameplay aspects can be relatively easily fixed, but how do the developers plan to address the issue where, for example, when a Sorceress casts a wall of fire and a Monk places a bell against 5-7 mobs, the FPS in some locations drops to an utterly unplayable 25-30? This happens even with all game settings prioritized for performance.
My wife and I absolutely love the game, and we didn’t hesitate to purchase early access. However, I have serious doubts that the developers are prioritizing any significant work to improve the game’s performance.

I second this.
I agree.

Of recent, it has gotten worse.

I should also mention that my internet speeds are:

1gb/s down
40mb/s up
10ms response time.

Yeah, great internet on my side as well.
The last straw was the fight at the beginning of the third act, where the Druid summons a lot of minions (zombies), and the FPS literally drops below 20, I'd say. The point is, I'm very concerned that the developers haven't mentioned anywhere, in any way, that they're aware of the major performance issues. Instead, they're fixing everything else but this. This status quo is completely unacceptable because such performance on a low-end PC might be understandable, but on a PS5—which people buy specifically to play games with proper optimization—it's absolutely not.

I would really like to get at least a simple response in this thread from anyone from GGG, something like, "Guys, we agree that this level of optimization is unacceptable, and we'll make things right, just give us some time." But simply staying silent and not addressing these issues in any way is a big mistake. In games like this, where every second of reaction time can cost you your life or a boss fight attempt, anything below 60 FPS is just unacceptable.

I can't comment on the base but the pro is absolutely silky smooth on highest settings and 120hz too

It may be that the pro is brute forcing it if it's unoptimised. I've only had one crash in ten hours of play and no lag at anytime

Do you mean Ps5 Pro, right? Hmm, I didn't think about it...
Performance for me on base PS5 is mostly fine, BUT there's an Hourglass trial in Sekhema's Trial on the 3rd floor and the second I start it, even before any enemy has spawned, FPS drops way, way below 30 and it's just unplayable at that point. I've tried different FSR presets to no effect at all, so I can only assume this particular issue might be related to some CPU bottleneck.

PS5 here:
I second this, 3rd floor had huge FPS drops for me on several occasions.
Apart fron that, especially the end of act2/4 and act3/5 have been very bad in terms of performance.

Early Maps, the performance is actually fine again, but i am just up to tier 3, so it might get bad again once maps get more juicy.
I've been playing on the PS5 since day 1. I can't confirm that. I only had a few crashes. I changed the graphics setting upscaling mode: NIS (standard) to FSR. Otherwise native 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K UHD) completely smooth, but only solo.
I had the save problem at day 1.
Than I've changed graphic setting:
- upscaling mode: NIS (standard) -> FSR
- balanced -> ultra performance

after that almost always 60fps and game works absolutely fine
there is fps problem only in hub with a lot of other player
