Blood mage blood orbs

Would be nice if blood orbs from Blood mage ascendency would spawn further away from enemies or increase pick up range. It feels realy bad if in boss fight all your orb are under the boss and you cant even get to them. And also it ruins kiting because you need to go into enemies to collect your blood orbs.

I completely agree, by itself it's a neat mechanic, but at the actual state is just bad, you can't run under enemies and get hits, or even killed by a hit, to get an orb

Yes your basicly forced to spec the spell leach node or never do bosses
+1. standing literally melee range of boss, but because they are fat i dont even pick up the orbs that spawn under them. not to mention my spell combo takes like half my health to cast, im using my life flask without even being hit -_-. blood mage while it has a cool concept seriously needs some buffs.

even in mapping u have to yolo push forward and hope u dont get 1 shot because u need to keep the momentum to pick up the orbs to even sustain ur spell casting. at this point why should i even do blood mage just go stormweaver.
In the late game, as skill levels increase, the mana cost of spells becomes unbearable for Blood mage builds. Maintaining full health is already a challenge, let alone having any overflow life. This makes the ascendancy node 'Gore Spike' feel like a joke.

Kinda would make sense if there was a way to auto pickup all orbs within a range by doing something. Maybe change how the orbs spawn.

Ei, every 5th spell spawns an orb and every crit absorbs all current orbs within X range of player?
Yeah currently blood mage didn't feel good, especially when you have only 1 ascension :(

Also without any life nodes on the skill tree you cannot stack life
Who even came up with this class?

I can understand making a node that isn't good, but to make a node that actively makes your class worse is incompetent.
They can make range better for orbs but still overall kit won't make it better the current state of bloodmage makes all the other classes 10 times better because you have more options , the double resource cost with the amount of stuff that you get its going to make everyone at high level die faster or even leave the class, hopefully they add to swap ascendancy you will see everyone swapping faster than light .... GGG if you want to make instant press skill suicide class congratz you won , I understand you wanna punish because you can get crit damage and crit but when you press 2-4 times and wipe your entire hp if you don't have inspiration support gem what does it even matter ?
Let leech overflow your life as a passive. This will greatly fix the orbs thingy.
