Review bomb time?

All you idiots defending them cause of the "early access" title. Yall need to stop this nonsense. This is NOT a beta! Beta is invitational and free. So sure if its a beta go ahead do whatever you want.

But reality is there are hundreds of thousands of new eyeballs on this super hyped game and EVERYONE PAID REAL MONEY. So it is not unreasonable to expect that when you pay money for something, that you expect value in return.

So with that in mind, while changes are necessary and expected, there needs to be some understanding that people paid money, and the manner in which those changes are implemented matter. First impressions are also important.

That's like going to a dealership and paying for a brand new car and the owner tells you its unstable and will break down, but don't worry we will keep fixing the problems.

No, it is. They were very clear about their intentions for this year of development.
If you thought otherwise it was due to a complete and utter lack of base level comprehension on your behalf.
I'm sorry but it's EA and we aren't even a week in... the level of frustration I'm seeing from some of y'all just feels so insane to me.

You don't buy a title with a guarantee of success either.

If OP has one build less than a week into the release it's unthinkable that if it's overpowered that it won't get nerfed.

You are getting value, you get many hours of well designed gameplay, you are not guaranteed success or fun for that matter, OP might be playing like a total muppet.

Once again, if you didn't think there would be MAJOR changes this early on then you're not thinking straight.

Personally I didnt think it was OP. It felt fluid as I choose to do POE2 blind. I wanted to started as a Minion build as lets face it going to go with what I know as Necro was always a solid league starter. But the Minion damage isnt scaling for crap due to lack of gems items to scale it properly. Which is fine its new POE1 at start was bumpy too. So added in some popcorn SRS and it started to jive well with CoI/CoMD it still wasnt a walk in the park but it played well. Heck first time in prob 7+ years I was willing to touch SRS as I hated that play in POE1.

The issue is for years and years and years GGG guts the crap out of a skill after skill after skill and lets them rot. How many years or months was Melee ever good in POE1? Ill wait.... Maybe back when 1000% facebreakers were still a thing?

The fact is "balance" in GGG eyes are ruin a gem/skill build however you want to call it. Its a new game a fresh start and we need to put our foot down on GGGs necks and tell them loud and clear we dont want the repeated mistakes of POE1. A TON of new players who never played POE1 are here and this is their expierence? Like they need to wake up. So Ever CoX player monks/witches/sorcs that are now busted over this have every right to be pissed. Just as you have the right to act like everything is fine and want to defend em so its whatever.

Review bombing is very effeminate behavior. Especially over something like this.

My build got bricked. I'm annoyed, but that doesn't mean I'm going to try to harm GGGs reputation or business and then continue playing the game.

I boycotted D3 after launch. Never played a Blizzard game again. If you're that mad just quit and don't give them money anymore.

Eh thats your opinion and thats fine. POE at times was great and have shown my commitment since the beginging of POE1 as evidence by my banners. But accountability has to be a thing too. They made people pay for this expecting work to be done on finishing the game not trashing it within a week. If there were a bunch of other viable Witch/Sorc builds id say this is BS move and and respec but that really isnt the case with how little the game is actually here at the moment.

its a fair take, theres no amount of min maxing to be done when the base skill gems are doing like 100-200 dmg , I wasnt aware we were going for a week long DND campaign style ARPG here.. "My rogue casts shadowstep"

Yeah I don't think people in the community understand how little tolerance customers have when money is involved. GGG is not an indie company. They can fix the game up and also enact their precious "Vision" while giving the people playing the game an out in the form of free respecs or reduced respec costs. There is no either-or in this situation. I can think of a reason why they would actually prefer to swing the nerf bat around this hard in such an inhospitable environment for players but I don't think people would like to hear it at all.

I just can't imagine being so insecure or so unhinged that my immediate response to a change in a game I play would be to attempt to incite the internet equivalent of a riot.

Lock thread imho.

And I can't imagine being such a smooth brain to blindly accept nonsense changes that ticks off the majority of the community. Like god forbid people want the game to be good and you know keep a large healthy player base. Weird I know its an odd concept to keep customers happy to make more money but I guess that makes to much sense huh?

You're assuming they're the majority of the community tho...

I dont know about it being a riot but if we look at the core issue at play here is that you are selling a power fantasy and stripping all of the accessible power.

Look at gem scaling, look at your choices, spend a week building a character, for it to die in a nerf because "hurr hurr early access"

Now tell me how this is a positive interaction for the player, exactly. Also, show me a time that dark souls or a "souls like" game did this? Since this is how we are describing our dungeon crawler ARPGs now.

Also, even post nerfs, mapping is broken, the CORE GAME is broken, 1 in 3 maps is going to work , the other 2? brick you to login screen upon trying to enter.

Lets not talk about leech and how for the entire week blood mage entire ascendancy just doesnt work. Leech is broken on many levels.

It appears they don’t give a shit about their customers. Trigger gems were FUN to use. We are only 5 days in most people are still trying to get through this dog shit slog of a campaign to see maps. Rather then take a gentle approach to figuring out a way to nerf some outputs they opt to just delete the gems entirely and all the specs along with it. Myself and all my friends were playing variants of builds using triggers and no one is playing it cause it was OP. We didn’t even get things rolling till the end of Act3 so we have to snooze fest the first 2 acts with crappy recommended gems. But once we switched it was sooooo much FUN and unique.

And part of the reason it stood out in a crowd of skills Is cause most other skills and supports are shit. If they elevated other abilities instead of destroying something that was incredibly fun today play, then it wouldn’t be considered OP which I still don’t understand how they came to that conclusion.
