Is Titanic working properly in Poe 2?

As Warrior I picked up the Titanic notable for the 5% increased Strength but noticed I only went from 111 up to 117. Am I misunderstanding this notable or does it simply not work properly? If I am misunderstanding it then how exactly does it work.

I suppose I was doing the math wrong. When I get even more strength then it will be worthwhile but with so little it seems small. I was thinking that 5% was a larger amount than it really is. Thanks for helping me realize my mistake.
