Now that POE 2 is out - Please Revert POE 1 to 3.13 and remove sanctum / expedition

What are you talking about, Settlers of Kalguur had great retention. And im sure several others had atleast decent numbers.
But i mean most players tend to only play intensely for 2-4 weeks before waiting for the next league.

POE classic when?

I would play the sht out of po1 classic exactly how it was on 2013 release with some minor balance tweaks.

And descent races. Oh my gawd.

But 3.13 lovers probably wouldn't
Why would you want content removed from the game? That's pure silly made by someone who just wants it gone because they don't like it but they're afraid someone else might benefit from it from the sounds of it.

I despise Sanctum & Ultimatum in PoE2 so much so I'd rather pass a kidney stone than do them but I don't want them removed from the game. I want them to not be tied to Ascendancy and be like in PoE1, optional content for those that DO like them.
When Synthesis? (Synthesis when?)

same here. recently i ran the Acton's Nightmare map, and got very sentimental and sad. That map brought so many memories, but they were desecrated by the absolute power creep of the game.

POE 2 is out now and you can have all that there and give us back the game we enjoyed before you thought you were going to delete it and used it as a testing ground for your "Vision".
Who is this "we" you're talking about?

Also, PoE 1 is in the best state it has ever been. This is not my opinion, it is an actual fact.

I could not have said it better myself!

@OP: The only thing that I know about the mysterious "we" is that I'm not a part of it. And the game truly is better than ever! I don't even like sanctum but why remove it? I know some people that do like it, why ruin their fun? No one forces you to play sanctum. Do you hate it because you can't affort an "original sin"? ^^

this is the low iq bs that gets us in the position in the first place

If you're going to call me stupid, don't hide behind a false metric literally designed for children.

Not doing the most profitable mechanic in a game

Gonna stop you right there. See, I play a game for fun. The act of doing maps, and overcoming hard bosses is fun. That's why I'm playing the game. I couldn't care one whit if I make a ton of currency doing it, if the 'doing' part is miserable or not fun. That's why I don't do sanctum, I can get the currency I need to beat bosses else where, and don't particularly enjoy it, so it gets left behind.

If I got literally paid, in USD, to do sanctum, I still wouldn't have fun doing it, and would avoid it as much as I could, because it's work, not fun, for me. I know there are a lot of people who enjoy it, or who measure their 'fun' by the currency per hour. That's fine, if they're having fun, great, who cares, it's their time. Them having fun in content I can ignore (and get some easy chaos from by selling the tomes) is not only good overall design, but also good for the game. It means there can be other spots of the game they hate that they'll want to buy from someone else (oils, essences, etc). This allows a community to exist, and allows different people to enjoy the game for different reasons.

What are YOU talking about??? Settlers died in 2 weeks, especially after the boat nerf. The only good thing about Settlers was that it wasn't a necropolis, but the terrible t17s were there, making everything trivial and sucking up the loot from the game, which disappeared from normal maps and other events in old leagues.
That's a lot of "Us" and "We". No thanks on reverting back to 3.13. I honestly think this last league was absolutely amazing!

POE2 provided further contrast for just how good 3.25 was for me.

Also, Expedition can be opted out of with the atlas tree and Sanctum is completely optional. Why?

Although I agree with the state of the game being great, that is absolutely an opinion.

Subjective opinions about the game can be supported by quantified data, but the greatness of a game is relative to the person playing it. Only they can provide the answer for their experience of it; and they're not wrong if they love or hate the current state of the game. That's their answer and it's always right with respect to them.
