Temple of Chaos is overtuned
Love the game but wanted to give some specific feedback about temple of chaos. I am convinved that it has some issues, overtuning beeing one of them.
I am currently level 48 (so 10 level above the temple) and I am still struggeling a lot. I am usually downing bosses in 1-2 gos and act endbosses take about 4-6. I think there are a few issues: a) Its luck based what curses you get. Some in combination with the boss are just mean. b) You cant re-try the boss. For every other boss in the game one can train them by just re-trying. It feels very unrewarding to play to the temple boss, get some little practice in, die and loose everything. And then one has to go through it again (and again and again) c) I think the temple is overtuned. With lvl 40 it took me 4 tries to even get to the boss. With lvl 48, I do get to the boss reliably but the boss plus a bad curse is still extremly hard and I simply take so much time to even get to practice him I know it is currently fashionable to scream "don't make poe 2 easier" and in general I am very much on board with that. But that does not mean that there are no parts of the game that are overtuned. At least I think something as important as ascendency should not be gated behind something so frustrating. I think the same way about the temple of chaos. It feels like running against a wall.

Agreed on the tuning of ToC, I think they should nerf either the mobs or the curses but not both. The combination makes it an unfun slog
I also think honour should be removed from campaign Trial of the Sekhemas and damage in that zone be uptuned a small amount to compensate. (Keep honour for the 4th tier so that people who like to farm endgame sanctums in POE1 can have it as is) With life scaling removed from passives, defenses for most classes in the current tree are too skewed toward recovery for honour to be a sensible mechanic in the early/mid game. " I personally did not have an issue with Trial of the Sekhemas, playing stormweaver. Yeah, the Temple of Chaos is the worse thing they've ever released. I am currently 15 levels over it and I still can't complete it. The curses are absolutely insane.

i completed mine at lvl 50 merc, failed probably 10 times. pretty much had to get lucky on the debuffs and which boss it picked.
1/10 in terms of fun. |

So not played any Sanctum but had no issue with Trial of the Sekhemas, ran it twice without issue.
Tried Trialmaster twice and both terrible. |

Finally managed to do it on level 51. That place will not see me again unless I must.

I was level 50 and it still took 3 tries.
Also, the loot looks like it's fixed. You get two Maces, a crossbow and a soul core every time. I assume this is just a placeholder but it should be addressed. |

There definitely needs to be a wider array of banes to choose from, and a couple certainly need tuned down (looking at you Vaal Omni.)
