Jokes aside though there are placeholder stats in some sections of the tree. Look at the left side where a shapeshifter cluster is. "Bestial Rage" and "Feral Force" just give attack damage with no stat variance. The skill tree is just as much in early access as the rest of the game.

Like why is the only option "cooldown reduction and +projectiles" rather than say "+fire damage and -duration"? Why can't I get a keystone/support gem that makes my grenades stick to mobs instead of rolling on the ground?

^This is precisely what happens when the game is TOO difficult....no more creativity. At all.

GGG has made the decision for you: there is a RIGHT way to build a blahblah monk. There is a RIGHT way to build a deadeye.

In some ways, PoE 2 is functionally nearly the opposite of PoE 1 and that is such a damn shame.



To me....PoE 2 EA shows that they put 99% of their time and effort into graphics and fluid motion, and nearly none into gameplay, skills, itemization, and (you know) the GAME.

+1 they've pretty much abandoned what made POE good for "souls like" slop. Its completely possible to have a challenging game while retaining the character and systems that made poe 1 standout. what they have done to the underlying systems makes it pretty indistinguishable from other arpgs. Last epoch at this point is more innovative than POE 2.

lol. Love it. Completely accurate. And they said it was to 'increase build diversity'.

Right. Taking away like 95% of our options sure adds a lot of options! /facepalm
I see there are still people beating on "muh ONLY valid build" topic while it's already untrue even with dogshit build variety we're having due to over half of things is not yet in the game.
