MTX being "unavailable" conspiracy

this is actually just pretty standard really.

someone forgot to disable previous microtransactions before launching the game into EA and giving people access.

then they realized and disabled them because they dont feel like troubleshooting skins+mechanics at the same time. while your skin may work, you dont know if its causing issues on the back end, or if any other skins are causing issues. and GGG is currently too busy to figure it out, so they just disabled every skin after the first day. it makes perfect sense and leaves no room for wild conspiracy theories. also support is probably slammed, and they likely have been told not to reply to messages about unsupported features until they reply to all messages about actually supported features.
It was probably a part of huge database, but only a small part was working.
So they shut it down completely for not being harmed.

I already made a previous post about this but it doesn't seem like many people caught on to what might be happening.

As I mentioned before, on the first day of Early Access, I was able to use my Ravager Apparition Portal in PoE 2 Early Access. It looked great with no issues making me believe that a part of the reason why I was able to is possibly because these supporter packs were created in the making of PoE 2 making it cross-compatible. I should have recorded gameplay for proof but I was able to use it.

On the second day, all of a sudden it tells me the portal is now "unavailable."

I have never seen anything like this being done with PoE 1. I did, a very long time ago for some reason have my classic purple portal taken away globally from my account without any explanation but with PoE 2 Early Access it seems really odd.

Either this is some type of bug or someone on the dev team decided it would be better if all of our previously owned mtx usage was held off until we spend some money on mtx in the beginning meanwhile we likely have the ability to use most, if not all of our mtx but they are just gated behind greed. I have no way of proving this but considering what happened in my situation I think something shady is going on.

I emailed support about this 3 days ago but got no response.

If anyone else had a similar issue with their mtx, they should report it so we can gauge if it's happening to other people.


I think they have alot of better things to do right now than import all the older mtx and make them work for us.

Cant wait to get my old mtx but i think they should spend that time better
