MTX being "unavailable" conspiracy

I already made a previous post about this but it doesn't seem like many people caught on to what might be happening.

As I mentioned before, on the first day of Early Access, I was able to use my Ravager Apparition Portal in PoE 2 Early Access. It looked great with no issues making me believe that a part of the reason why I was able to is possibly because these supporter packs were created in the making of PoE 2 making it cross-compatible. I should have recorded gameplay for proof but I was able to use it.

On the second day, all of a sudden it tells me the portal is now "unavailable."

I have never seen anything like this being done with PoE 1. I did, a very long time ago for some reason have my classic purple portal taken away globally from my account without any explanation but with PoE 2 Early Access it seems really odd.

Either this is some type of bug or someone on the dev team decided it would be better if all of our previously owned mtx usage was held off until we spend some money on mtx in the beginning meanwhile we likely have the ability to use most, if not all of our mtx but they are just gated behind greed. I have no way of proving this but considering what happened in my situation I think something shady is going on.

I emailed support about this 3 days ago but got no response.

If anyone else had a similar issue with their mtx, they should report it so we can gauge if it's happening to other people.

I doubt it's any of that and it's most like that it's EA and those specific cosmetics aren't in the game just yet or they're causing issues with whatever.

Read what I wrote. I WAS able to use the Ravager Apparition portal on the first day. It looked flawless. I'm talking about that case specifically. Why would I be able to use the portal on the first day and then the next day it now says "unavailable."

Why would support ignore me emailing them about this if other emails I write get responded to and why would this not be mentioned anywhere by any dev.

Think from a profit-maximizing mindset. If they were to tell you, your mtx cannot be used right now because of technical limits, how would you be able to tell other than taking their word for it? I gave you a concrete example of what happened to me, I'm sure it happened to other people with their own mtx and they likely didn't bother reporting it.

Do you people just not question anything and take everything at face value?

I didn't even say for a fact that's what's happening but with what happened in my case it made zero sense and them not responding is suspect.

Oh, I am the person to ask 10,000 questions... but this is just a bit too tin foil hat for me. They've not given me any reason to question the MTX bit, it's currently EA and they've got a good track record. I dunno what to tell you, hopefully they give you the answer you want to hear.

The EA stands for Early Access, as in "It's not a finished game and we're testing stuff and some things won't work and your mtx may disappear and your pet companion might murder you", and not for Electronic Arts, as in "we're giving you a buggy game for full price and looking for a way to get more money from players that already paid for full game".

Dude, they said will be able to use your POE 1 MTX so chill. One thing GGG does not do is lie like other game companies. While the question is valid, your conspiracies are useless in this case. You can see from my supporter packs from the side here I am as excited for it as anyone.

I can't use any of my MTX from POE1 other than by stash tabs, I am figuring they just haven't made upscaled versions of them all yet. with 10 years of MTX to upgrade I am not expecting them for a while. I want them to concentrate on the gameplay for now, then make my footprints glow.

There could still have been issues with it, that you weren't able to test
Maybe a dev added it to the game to test something and removed it again
We don't know

PoE 1 shop items are also not in the store

If they were ready, they would be losing lots of revenue from that as well

And those would probably be the biggest customers at the start of PoE 2, since they have almost no cosmetics to begin with

Do I find it to be some wild conspiracy that they might wait to add our items in hopes of us spending money on new items?

Ofc not

But still, not really something we can verify

I would like my cosmetics in the game soon as well

But I think I would rather have them working on the game instead
