Trials of ascendency are now worse POE2

The fact you force us to do a thing where we have basically one bar of life for the whole trial is stupid. On one hand you have all the classes built to do distance damage and just have to focus on hit and run and then you have melee players who are forced into either over gearing or playing an unfunny game of overkill souls-like dodging and for the first it's fine to try and fail 15 times but further ones aren't free.

You made it way worse. Just make the thing more challenging but remove the arbitrary fail conditions, it's just bad gameplay, it's neither fun nor enjoyable. The one in the first game were hard but somewhat fair. This feels arbitrary, capricious and one sided towards ranged players.

Honour thing is problem. When i was at 22level playing Ranger, unfortunately my dps was not enough and i failed. But the thing is i failed due to "honour" bar not my health.

After that i levelled up and get better BOW at lvl 26 killed it. Can't imagine how to do with melee character. Honour thing must go. Atleast for boss.
They finally "fixed" melee this time, by basically removing it from the game.
I am really enjoying the game, Monk, and melee…besides this part of the game. Until this point, I had max 6 deaths on Bosses and most of the time 2-3. 2 on act 1 final boss.
Honor, and the whole trial is garbage. It took me 8 tries to even make it to the Boss. Had 700ish out of 900 honour left, lagged like heck and that was that. No restart, no progression save. 6 tries later right before boss, reward was double remaining honor and definitely didn’t get it when awarded at beacon so 400/900 honor… die to boss.4 tries later back at boss250/900 honor, but doing well and got him to about 30% rubber band latency-dead again.

I really wish you could just save after every round, or at least right before boss. Is there a certain stat I need to stack? Something else I am missing? Why do I always have so much water and nothing to do with it?

Getting tree Sekhema trials done in succession for my third set of ascendancy nodes is almost impossible as melee. I get hit by one big hit and I lose like 400 honour. It's ridiculously overtuned. The Trial of Chaos isn't much better because some of the modifiers you have to pick are just so extremely oppressive that they have a solid chance of bricking your attempt.

Absolutely horribly balanced and because of that it feels like massive step back from PoE1 Lab.

The fact I avoid Sanctum and Ultimatum in PoE, says alot about how I feel about these being ascendencies in PoE2....

Imo they need to do the following

- remove honor requirements in Sanctum version

- remove de buffs in Ultimatum version, or at least either nerf or limit the number of them

- change the requirement of having to do each one, to pick the one you want from get go.


I'm really hoping the third type released later is better
