Yes, it is challenging, but the more pleasure then u can master it, i think.

I'm fine with the concept of these trials. Some adjustments required to make it less brutal, at least earlier in the game.

I personaly see it like this:

The first 4 Ascendancy Points aren't really needed to go through the campain so i just waited on my char till i was over the map lv - also the quest is omniously redish in colour when you first get it - so for me that meant probably too early to do it now.

--> Did both Sanctuary and Ultimatium about 5-7 Levels above map lv and had no real problem with either.

couldn't say better! i don't even care if its hard but these 2 mechanics are just NOT fun... plz make your voice loud and spread it far so maybe they change these poor mechanics and put some actual good content for the ascendancy trials

I beat sanctum trial pretty easily my first try. Tried ultimatum trial at level 41. LOL this has to be a cruel joke. And that bird boss that flies all over the place leaving you zero time to actually get damage in? Extremely frustrating, and I’ve been really enjoying the difficulty of the game. Ultimatum is massively overtuned. Nearly every option is pretty much guaranteed death, and they expect you to eventually do 10 in a row?! There’s no way they are serious.

You have not even seen the floor two boss of Sanctum to get 5th and 6th ascendancy point...

As slam-slow-melee these are insanely difficult, let me say there is an alternating thing in short succession who also slam, and you hardly can get a hit between them without getting hit for 500+ honour yourself. :P

this is ofc only talking about melee, but yeah... we should take that out of the equation, it should be "doable" for all arch types, and people should stop saying "easy, play ranged" ... :D

I agree, have been spending all my free time playing since friday as a new POE player having great fun, until today when I took part in my first trial and found this to literally suck the fun out of the game, to the point where after 3 attempts I had no desire to continue, so I logged out and played something else.
Dont get me wrong, I dont expect to conquor content easily - ive died many times in the game so far from boss encounters or even larger packs of mobs which I wasnt prepared for - but have had a great time learning from that and defeating those bosses, but this feels different.

As I understand it the trials are a neccessary part of progressing our chars - personally the thought of having to do this throughout my journey fills me with dread, and discovering this after investing in a couple of stash tabs is even more depressing. I hope something changes and I wasnt sure if it was just me but im sorta glad to see its not.
