Ascent to Power || Quest bugged, "Complete trial of Sekhemas"

Hello im new to POE, starting with POE2.

I Attempted to do quest "ascent to power" with my pal. We killed bala, turned in the item to activate the alter, but as we were passing through the trial door his game crashed and booted me from the session.

Ive since been unable to get the item that opens the door again, and bala is still standing outside with the same dialogue options. Ive clicked every one to see if theyed give me another item. The issue persists.

-Ive left the session and rejoined
-Relogged after an hour of waiting
-Re done the bala fight (still no drop)
-clicked on the door & all chests at the alter

Issue persists. Is there any way I can activate this stupid alter so I can go in and get my subclass?

Update:

Joining another person who has already "started" the trial, then leaving their party seems to have fixed it.

Hi, I am in the same position now after a crash but don’t have someone to join. Is there a way to get the item again to place in the relic altar?
