Witch Minions, totally unplayable

Minions are unplayable, I have to respec now at the end of Act 2 fighting lazer boy because I do no damage. This is horrendous
Made it to level 41 and giving up any type of summon gameplay they're worthless.

I don't know how every single person at GGG played this and went "yeah this feels great to play"
I barely, and I mean literally by the skin of my teeth beat the act 1 boss. It was like a 10 minute fight. I shouldn't have technically been able to win, but I was pretty good at rolling and dodging attacks. About a 3 minute fight on both warrior and ranger, which is reasonable for an act boss, the issue is no fucking damage on minions.

Act 1 Endboss was no issue. Per accident I had 70 cold resistance and happened to have shockwave totem and chaos dots. Oh right. I also *had* minions. They were dead most of the time, dealing zero damage. I didn't die, but the fight lasted horrendously long chipping very slowly with dots I have not invested in but rather used as fillers.

They really need to swing the buff-bat - asap.

So far I'm having a great time as a sorceress and having Skeletal Warrior to tank mobs. Even without any passive node to boost minion they help a lot.

My main damage comes from Frost Bomb with Support: Fast Forward & Magnified Effect. (i'm using other elemental spells but i'm still unsure what else is best early game)

I haven't played witch yet but I'm pretty sure you could cross class the other way around and take that Frost Bomb. It does a lot of damage and your minions will help keep the enemies in 1 place so the bomb detonate on them.

I'm only level 13 but early game is great so far. Trash mobs are super easy and die fast, i only need to be careful against boss.

I wish skeleton warriors would tank mobs for me.
I gave up my "necromancer" witch early on and created a monk, sorceress and mercenary, all levelled to level 15, and all three felt much better. Not sure what minions are like later on, but they are terrible early game and I was not willing to put more time into a playstyle that was clearly struggling.
Agree with it, witch minions is unplayable.

@devs, seriously, had you tried the minions?
At end of act1, I feel they have... 8 DPS? 10?
81% increased minion damage on tree and seems 0%...
A pack of white mobs is a difficult fight that takes you like 20-30 seconds.
The boss before the latest of act1, literally 10 minutes to kill it.


I felt your idea were to let minions as support, not a main skill, to force us to make combos with other skillgems/weapons... but.. how?
HOW?
If you wish to use an skill of another class to make a combo, you need to switch your weapon, and OH! minions disappears!!!
The problem is the 100 spirit bonus from sceptre its lost at weapon switch.

I'm so fustrated with this minion playstyle.
... at least, give us the SRS early to do something!

i play flame wall + srs with explode passiv its sweet but not the typical minion build i tried archer and bomber its not good enough to clear unless u have enough corpses for explode


but archer have huge potential i think especially for boss

This is EXTREMELY disappointing, as minions are quite literally the only build I play. They feel terrible, worse even than in Diablo 4, which is saying something
