Cannot pick up Tusks for quest A theft of ivory

I killed the boss 5 times already and the quest item is not dropping. I am stuck on the step "Retrieve the tusks"..

Same here. Killed the necromancer first, then the mastodon. No tusk.

Edit: Tried him multiple times. I had one time where the necromancer buffed the mastodon after he died. Unfortunately I died that run. But I guess it has something to do with the first guy dying not being registered properly every time. Coincidentally that was my first attempt in that instance. So maybe that's the root cause?

Edit 2: Nope, doesn't seem to be it. Killed them on the first attempt of the instance and even though the necromancer buffed the mastodon, they still didn't drop anything.

Edit 3: Dropped when I killed them in the other order (Not first try of the instance)

I had the same problem. You need to kill the beast first then the necromancer.
