Just adding my support to this thread. I also completed this event. Several adds spawned but not rare or boss and no drops that would allow me to get the 10% resistance. Thanks.

No lightning res for me either.
To recount: Clicked statue, normal "sisters" mobs spawned and were defeated, no boss spawned, no item dropped, lightning resistance at the same value as before, map shows completed. |

for me it was fixed in cruel, went from -6 to +4 lightning res.

I also tried to complete this today. activated the statue and killed the adds. got a lightning effect on screen and map shows it as completed. Still no resist gained.
