POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Hey I've also been experiencing hard crashes.

I've been watching my CPU temps (with Multithreading disabled now - I don't really want to test without and brick my pc) - But I have been watching CPU Temps and it jumps for 55-60 Degrees while playing to 90+ degrees in the span of 1-2 seconds while in a loading screen.

This is a new build with 24H2 Update, 9800x3D and a 3070 - and its defo not a CPU cooler issue. 14 Noctua fans in this PC, it's like a fridge.

I suspect the CPU is being way to overutilized on load screens - especially towns and such causing the system to completely freeze and need a hard reboot.

tried everything... limiting the cpu was working for a bit but game started stuttering at the end of act 2 so this temporary fix is a no go anymore...

This is a huge problem GGG I spent a lot of money on my PC and these crashed are severely wearing it down. I hope this is THE highest priority you are working on right now.

knowing this issue from poe1 ( where a similar issue took place and they also had it on high priority list ) and knowing they didn't fix it in months we probably won't be able to play the game at all.

but hey at least we bought the game and supporter packs haha.

For me, turning off the multi-threading option in the in-game menu before a load screen and then turning it back on is the only way I can play this game currently with zero lock ups. It's getting extremely tedious.

Still zero word from GGG on any new updates with this, aside from that note in the sticky thread which doesn't exactly help any of us at all.

Ubisoft announced a patch today and MS released the hold on updates as a result, so out the door goes the excuse that it's somehow Microsoft's job to fix or that a rollback is the solution. POE2 is now the proud and lonely owner of the "PC Bricker" award.

If you're on Steam, I suggest leaving a negative review until they've managed to resolve the issue.

I'm sure as **** not re-installing my Windows just becuase 1 game (out of literally hundreds on my PC) is shitting itself (and my PC) every time there is a loading screen.
