POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Posting to confirm that I also experience this and it's frustrating the only fix I found was disabling multithreading for loading only then reenable it.
Windows 11 32 GB OF RAM CPU: i7700k GPU: RTX 4080 SUPER 512gb SSD and 2tb hdd (poe 2 is on the SSD) 2x 180hz monitors from Asus (TUFF) and 1 old 60 hz samsung monitor Last edited by d2glycan#9817 on Dec 10, 2024, 12:22:55 PM

3 or 4 tries for me today, never made it into a single instance. Thankfully cutting back the affinity to -2 cores prevented hard locks.
I hate it. I'll try again whenever the next patch/fix comes out. In Wraeclast, if someone tries to kill you... you just kill them right back.

Bump all the crash posts, they've removed the issue from high priority even though loads of us are now experiencing worse crashing than before their patch

My game is bricked, I crash 9 times out of 10 when any load screen appears. The CPU affinity saved me so many times from euthanizing my poor PC. Devs pls acknowledge and try to fix (I know it's probably a Windows issue, but you're the only ones that can do anything about it atm).

The fact that you can search the forum and reddit and see people reporting this issue all the way back to at least August, really highlights the fact that GGG has either been working on this and failing to fix it for that long, or just simply ignored it and did nothing for the last few months.
I guess the one positive is that every patch seems to make this issue effect more people. Maybe they'll finally fix it once all of our PCs are on fire. Yay! |
