POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Well...things were looking hopeful there for a day and a half. Sadly, I got 2 "not respondings" from poe uncrasher just now...so the problem definitely isn't fixed. Just that it's manageable so far.
For me, it's progress at least. |

Feels bad to pay for EA, and not being able to play without downloading a third party software, or disable/enable multithreading every loading screen.
The hype I had for the game is went from the top to non-existant. Bumping this up for visibility. |

I never had the game freeze on me during loading screen before the patch 0.1.1., now it's happening around every two hours or so of gameplay. Seems like the patch made it hit players who had no problem before.

This is also happening to me after patch 0.1.1. PC will freeze during loading screen every few hours. It doesn't crash but since my pc is unresponsive I can only press the power button to reset it.

I've been able to play some with the use of PoEUncrasher in admin mode, but for the past 24 hours the game freezes my system 100% of the time even before the log in screen, requiring a hard reset to recover. So I'm completely locked out for the time being.

I think I know the cause of the problem. I installed the game from the official POE website, and it ran perfectly. Then I uninstalled it and installed it via STEAM... the game constantly froze my system. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it from the POE website, and now the game works flawlessly again, without a single system freeze!
I hope someone from support is reading this. For diagnosing the issue and pointing out the cause, I expect GGG to reward me with a train full of golden honey! For people experiencing complete Windows system freezes, check if downloading the game directly from GGG might solve the problem. |
