POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

I've been disabling the multithread thing before teleporting, it is annoying but it worked, BUT whenever I die it is at least a 90% chance to to freeze my pc and when it does i need to do a hard reset or shutdown and today after I had to do a hard reset the worst case scenario happened, my gpu is basically crippled if not dead, after the reset my screen is flickering I'm seeing all sorts of artefacts and lines on screen, I did another normal reset and it is still the same, i uninstalled drivers using ddu and it is still the same, i removed the gpu from my pc and let everything sit for approx 20min reinstalled it and it is still the same ... then I enabled the onboard gpu on my 7800x3d and removed the rtx3090, and there it is problem gone, no flickering no artifacts everything was fine but obviously I can't really game on that iGPU, I reinstalled the 3090 one more time and artefacts and crap flickering was again there .. so I'm basically royally f'ed, gpu is out of warranty and I don't really have the budget for a new gpu at the time, I don't even know if it can be fixed, I also don't expect ggg to do anything about it ... May the gods of hard resets be on your side!

Sorry to hear that. This is why I stopped playing. I don't want to risk it. Something is seriously wrong with the game and I am sure they are fixing it but with as long as it is taking it is more serious than anyone expected.

imagine paying 450+USD for a supporter bundle and not even being able to play, not being acknowledged by GGG, not told anything.
what a great way for them to thank you for your support! refund the game, if you can't/GGG or steam won't, then call your bank organise a chargeback. |

Another sad day not playing PoE2 because they haven't introduced an option to disable multithreading while zoning.
I hate that I'm about to start the new d4 season solely because I can't play poe2 on my brand new computer I built unless I manually toggle multithreading every minute. I did it for weeks but it was driving me crazy. Please help us ggg overlords. No one knows how multithreading works, I get it. I'm a game dev too and would have no idea where to start. Just add the zoning option. Please baby jesus. |

" I bought all of the supporter packs as well. Do I just tell my bank that I didn't get what was promised? I've never had to do that before. Has anyone else done this and have it work? I'm too scared to ever play this game again after just dropping $1600 on a GPU. None of my other Steam games completely freeze my PC. |

Having the same issue. Can't even do the limit cpu thing cause when I open the game it will freeze my PC 100% in less than 10 seconds.

Hello, I have had the same problem for days, reinstalling Windows 0, different graphics drivers, looking at the bios, all without a solution. Note that since a Windows update my CPU, when idle or when starting the PC, often went to 100% and I found the following tutorial on Reddit.
Step 1. open search, and find "regedit" and open it. Step 2. Find this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00\5d76a2ca-e8c0-402f-a133-2158492d58ad Step 3. Double click on "attributes" on the right side and change the value to 0 then click ok. Step 4. Open your advanced power settings and expand the "processor power management" tab Step 5. Change the newly exposed option called "processor idle disable" change it to "enable idle" My pc is 5800x3d 32gb ram 3200 asus tuf gaming x570 plus msi 3070ti i play today all day and 0 crash |
