POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

I played since day 1 without issues on an older processor.
i7 6700k with 4070 graka on win10.

I made an upgrade previous week to a 7700x amd processor and new mobo + windows 11.

And since then i also have these total locks that where i have to use the power button.

Only with POE2.

I played a lot of other games without these issues after the upgrade.
(stalker 2, ashes of creation, FF remake, Once human, Marvel rivals etc...)

I want to play this game so bad but i can't because of this issue, I wish i was able to refund the game but i already have too many hours in steam.. PLEASE FIX OR UPDATE US ABOUT THIS ISSUE WE ARE WAITING FOR MORE THEN A MONTH!!!

yeah might be just another crash... the only connection is nvidia guy saying our freeze is probably fixed in next driver update

Right. About an entirely different soft crash with an entirely different piece of hardware.
This thread has to do with CPU overload during map transition.

My pc and windows don't freeze, just game crashing.
Sounds like the problem they are talking about. Another strange thing- my friends also using nvidia with same drivers and zero issues.
Hope nvidia driver comes out asap.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did he say that nvidia knows current driver crashing the game and they tried driver update and it wasn't crashing? Why the fk nvidia doesn't release that driver update then, if they know it will sort crashing?

I also have a full pc freeze. This only happens if I upgrade windows. I revert back to the old build and no more freezes. Please fix.

AMD 5 7600X
GTX 4070Super
32Gb RAM
Win 11 last update.

My girlfriend has also same PC setup (we have 1:1 PCs) and on her PC there is no any crash / fps drops / freeze.


I have often low FPS. One time I have around 100, second time just 30-40. While I have 30-40 all time (even in start menu) I probably will have freeze in two first loading screens.


One thing is different between our setups.
I have two monitors 34" 21:9 165Hz and 23" 16:9 60Hz.
She only have one - same as mine 34".


Later this day I will try, to run PoE2 with only one monitor plugged.

Because you're not talking about the same issue.
You know that a variety of things can cause a game to crash right?

And as I said before, the specific issue of this thread here, which relate to a system-wide freeze/crash rather than game crashing and going back to desktop, is NOT on their end.

IF you have a freaking whole-system freeze/crash, diagnose your system to find the actual cause of the issue; the game is not the CAUSE of your system instability, simply a symptom.

From the first day of ea, the first time I entered camp, I almost got stuck every time I entered a new map, and the game progress would automatically shut down. When entering a new map, the same situation will occur more than 80% of the time, including entering a new map, entering a new alien map, entering a new map in the trial, entering a teammate's hiding point, and everything else when switching maps.
Because of this, I finished all six acts almost twice as long later than my friends who started the game at the same time.
You wouldn't believe the patience I had to restart the game over and over again, persevere through the story, and strive to reach the level of 88.
However, since the first update was released in January. My problem got worse, every time the game died and automatically shut down, the restart of the game would occur 3 to 10 times in a row. Restarting the game and getting stuck again sometimes happens when you enter the game from the character screen, sometimes when you re-enter the game and enter the Exosphere map again through the portal in the hideout, and sometimes within 1-3 seconds of re-entering the game and entering the Exosphere map.
After that, I almost never wanted to open a game again. Even when I tried to open the game, the result often didn't change, and I still got stuck after one entry into the Alien map (usually stuck after three).
Although I have been told that I can roll back Windows 11 from 2024H2 to 2023, I have many important working files on my computer, and returning to the system can cause unforeseen risks. Of course, I don't think the problem should be solved by rolling back the system version.

I would like to know why in nearly 40 days this problem has not been solved, and there has not even been some detailed explanation from the person in charge for such a serious problem.
