Guys please don't tell me to read this thread as I've been visiting this thread every day for the past couple of weeks. I also have posted here multiple times and have my own experience.

I played for 200+h without a single hard freeze on Windows 11 23H2 and as soon as I updated to 24H2 the game started to hard freeze. I wrote here and many started to point out that there was a big patch in the game the same day. Well I believed it, and struggled for a couple of days UNTIL I DECIDED TO FINALLY ROLL BACK TO 23H2 AND FROM THAT MOMEMENT I DIDN'T HAVE A SINGLE (!!) HARD FREEZE FOR ANOTHER 100+H UNTIL........

Until I bought a new PC with 24H2 and no option to install 23H2. And obviously hard freezes.

I know there r ppl like u guys that have this bug on other versions of Windows, but for majority (based on this thread) it is connected to 24H2.

FOR ME IT ABSOLUTELY WAS AND IS. 100%. NOTHING ELSE.

One more time: 0 freezes - updated windows - freezes every hour. Rerolled back to 23H2 = 0 freezes. SAME PC. NOTHING ELSE CHANGED.

Please don't tell me it's not 24H2 related PLEASE DON'T.

just because you begged doesn't mean it's true. it's a fact that it happens on different systems. your specific situation does not change that fact, it just adds to the existing data.

you say you don't want to be told otherwise yet you want us to be told by you otherwise. that's just plain dumb. you're so over in your head and completely missing the context.

again, there is nothing about your specific situation that changes the facts no matter how hard you beg.

No. It's just ur assumption. Maybe a new word for you, but you can use google to learn what does it mean.

Only fact here is that on the same PC, on 23H2 game didn't have a single hard freeze during 200+h. Once it was updated to 24H2, the game started to hard freeze every hour. Once it was rolled back to 23H2 it didn't have a single hard freeze for another 100+h.

IT IS THE FACT THAT SOLUTION TO THE BUG I HAD FACED WAS ROLLING BACK TO 23H2.

Also, it is a fact that I played fine until December 9 patch. 24h2 was installed in november. So?

Something has definitely changed in the latest update because whilst it has been the case for most you that you've had to hard reset to get out, my computer was just flat out resetting on its own accord (black screen and reset).

Since this update, the crash now puts the computer in a state where I have to get up off my royal posterior and be like the rest of you and press the power switch. How rude!
after the last couple of patches the performance in the game feels worse and i'm back to crashing/hardlocking my pc after not having this issue for 3 weeks.

:')
After I started using Poe Uncrasher tool the problem disappeared for me. Is it impossible for them to apply the same solution as the tool on the client?
POeuncrasher isn't a fix. The crash is still happening. Poeuncrasher is just mitigating and managing the crashes. It is automating what you can do manually in task manager by unchecking cores in affinity and toggling the priority between normal and real time and back whenever it gets stuck on a loading screen. The "crash" is still happening. It is not a fix.
Like unchecking cores is stopping it locking the whole machine up when whatever underlying cause occurs .And changing the priority will push it past whatever it is getting stuck on. sure.

But the underlying problem causing the issues is still occurring in the background and that issue needs to be addressed and fixed by GGG

It's also using a log to scrape when to do it and I suspect it isn't fast enough to catch some of the more instant crashes.
Like not to say Kapps isnt a hero. More of a criticism of GGG and any "This is fine with poeuncrasher". It's good we have a tool to help people who really want to play. But GGG needs to pull their finger out
