Since i cant play poe2 , I decided to maybe play some poe 1. And guess what, the same happen in poe 1. Full pc crash during loading location.

Yup, been trying to tell people this has been happening in POE1 for months. GGG hasn't done a thing about it. Don't expect them to do anything about it now. Not unless one of their poster children streamers start crashing.
I'm curious about everyone's CPUs experiencing this problem. I just upgraded from an AMD R9 3950x to the new AMD 9800X3D. My old build had zero problems, and this one is as unstable as it can get with this game and only this game.

Hey everyone, it's me again – the guy whose HX750 power supply recently fried after four years of use. Fortunately, nothing else was damaged. After replacing the PSU, I decided to run some temperature tests to see how my system was handling things. Here are my results:

Idle CPU Temperatures:

CPU Temperatures in Various Games (Main Menu & In-Game):

CPU Temperature in POE2 (Main Menu):

The results speak for themselves: POE2 is pushing CPU temps to concerning levels, even when you're just in the main menu. If this is what happens during early access, there's a real risk it could damage people's hardware.

I rest my case. POE2 isn't ready for early access — not until these issues are addressed.

If you have a ryzen, having temp spikes is normal, its how it works. You can do your research, there's a way to change how it works in the BIOs but I can't remember where I found it. It gives you average higher temps but less spikes. Probably ChatGPT could help you find it.

The problem would be keeping those temps for longer than a few seconds, or having those temps doing nothing. Is it your case? If it gets 90 degrees constantly, it might something with your voltages. I have a 9800x3d and some games have sudden spikes for seconds. PoE2 is more or less 60 degrees constant, with spikes to 75 that last like 4 seconds.

And btw you can't compare PoE2 to the games you showed. PoE2 is quite taxing on your system while humankind is nothing like it XD

But I agree, PoE2 can't be released on Early Access with a freezing bug like this one.

It was at those temperatures in the idle main menu. It kept like that the entire time during gameplay. It is actually an i7 8700k. Enabling Vsync reduced the temperature while walking, but increased again during fights. I'm doing some tests with both vsync and disabling multithreading, will report tomorrow

9800X3D/4090 User here
Win 11 R24

Today I've been playing and having the hard crash issue that requires PC restart maybe 2-3x a day - so it's been annoying, but not completely impossible to have fun.

Today I finished Trials 4th floor on my character and ever since I have been crashing every other time I hit a loading screen. Each crash renders my computer completely unable to function and forces me to power cycle it.

I have no idea why today of all days has made the game almost completely unplayable, but I am pretty disappointed. I'm probably going to try to update windows to R23 and see if that helps at all.

I have no issues in any other game or applications. Machine has been stress tested for hours with no issue.

Something definitely changed today.

I rolled back to Win11 23H2 and the issue seems to be gone.

PoE > new Win11 feature bloat
Has anyone had success gaming consistently without crashes at loading screens by just turning the Multithreading option off before fast traveling? Enable it back when you are back to blasting? This is what I see shroud do.

You need to download .net9 to run the program.

This works for loading screens, but occasionally the game still crashes during certain boss fights.
Totally unacceptable how this hasn't been resolved yet. Will most likely not play the game again until its fixed, just had back to back freeze on login screen and first loading screen.
