Hard crashing PC locks up

I cannot log in to my Witch now, it just crashes the pc, and this is after having to re-install the game, since it just gave me an error message when I tried to log on after one of the crashes.

" The other way around for me. I switched to standalone client. Freezing stoped for now tho I only play an hour long sessions so dunno what would happen if I played longer. I also used the windows 7 compatibility work around. |

I was confident and full of hope, but CPU affinity did not work for me, already 2 freezes today.
Steam version, GTX 3060, CPU Intel I5-12400F |

RTX4090 W11 24H2 same issue, I switched from DX12 to Vulcan and my crashes dissappeared. |

The process lasso allows toy to remove one or two cores affinity from poe2. It doesn't fix the issue, 'mind you, but at least no freeze and you can end poe2 in the process manager

same issues on switching to a new map game freeze then pc freeze. had to reset my pc 2 times. my specs ryzen 5 3600 and rtx 4070ti super. My character is witch.Steam version of the game.

Guys, could anyone here try to disable Multi-plane overlay (MPO)? Can't test it myself, I am on business trip.

" Hi, I tried this, but the game crashed first try during loading after character selection. To disable MPO is added the following registry key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Dwm] "OverlayTestMode"=dword:00000005 But process lasso helped to prevent the hard lock and at least be able to kill the stalled executable using the task manager (I unassigned cores 0+1 for the PoE2 process). The most recent patches had a rather negative effect regarding this issue. I now have a really hard time to even load into the game without it crashing. |
